My website had been neglected for the past couple years (at least!). I made some changes and updated the Real Estate section with new photos and video examples. Pricing will remain the same for the upcoming year, the only change made was the upcharge for larger homes that now starts at 3000+ SqFt.
I think everyone is preparing for the end of this long winter. Get in touch now to schedule your listing photography/videos and feel free to pass it along to other agents in the area. My typical coverage area is from Little Falls to Walker, east to Mille Lacs Lake and west to the Staples/Wadena area.
Also a reminder to the VRBO/AirBnb market. More homes are coming online everyday. The best way to make your listing stand out is with a fresh set of professional photos!

AGENTS- I had an agent contact me today saying Northstar was rejecting their virtual tour video. I have run in to this problem only 2-3 times in the past year but I thought it was worth explaining to everyone.

If you are re-listing a property on Norhtstar that I photographed in 2015-2017ish.. your video may have a small paper airplane logo in the upper right hand portion of the video (see picture). It is a "share logo" that allows people to share the video on social media, but of course Northstar says that is not allowed. They apparently did allow this for years when the video was created but have since changed their minds and made this a no-no..

I have not included this "share" logo on any MLS videos for roughly the past 12-18 months... BUT if you are relisting a property with an old video from 2015-2017ish.. double check your video does not have the "share" logo to avoid Northstar threatening fines. If you do have a video with the logo and need to use again, just let me know and I will put it on a new URL link and solve the problem. Email me or comment with any questions. Thanks.

I did some photography and a couple short videos for the Legacy Chorale this spring. Great group of people who put on a great concert. They have a Christmas concert and spring concert series at a few venues around the Lakes area. Check them out at LegacyChorale.org

Nels Norquist is an award-winning photographer who has been working professionally in the Brainerd lakes area since 2001. He was a staff photographer for the Brainerd Dispatch newspaper from 2001-2008.
