The holidays are coming… 🎁 and so are the opinions. 😬
If you’re newly engaged (or knee-deep in planning), you know those dinner-table questions are coming:
🗓️ “When’s the wedding?”
🤨 “Why aren’t you inviting so-and-so?”
💒 “Are you sure about that venue?”
You don’t need to dread it. You just need a game plan — and I’ve got one waiting for you on the blog 👉 dpnak.com/blog

I’ll be honest — Mother Nature was playing some tricky games with us a few weekends ago. Every single weather app told a different story. Even different radars had conflicting predictions.
I pushed the decision to the very last possible minute (sorry to the vendor team — you all handled it like absolute champs 💛).
Emily and Ben had their hearts set on an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour at , and I completely understood why. But when that moment came, we made the call to move things inside — and not long after, the skies opened up in a full, dramatic downpour.
I’ll never forget sitting with Emily while she talked to Ben on the phone right before that call. He was calm, supportive, and so focused on keeping her grounded. I may or may not have shed a tear — it was such a beautiful reminder of what a true partnership looks like.
Rain plans aren’t just logistics; they’re about preserving the energy of the day. And Emily and Ben’s wedding still had all the joy, warmth, and connection it was always meant to.

After a day of drizzle and low clouds, the Philly skyline decided to make a brief cameo a few weekends ago... just long enough for Emily and Ben to sneak to the rooftop of with for a few stunning shots.
(And that bouquet by was SOO good!)

One year ago today, Dave and Matt said ‘I do’ lakeside in the Poconos surrounded by fall color, their favorite people, and so much love.
I’ll never forget the joy these two radiated all day long — it was contagious in the very best way.
Happy anniversary! Here’s to a lifetime of adventures as beautiful (and fun!) as your wedding day.

Geez, September absolutely flew by...
Wishing these two amazing, hilarious, and thoughtful creatures a very happy one-year-and-a-handful-of-days anniversary.
These minimal, acrylic reserved signs from live in my emergency kit now and I pull them out whenever needed. They’re simple, clean, and fit onto just about any chair without a fuss (aka: planner gold).
Pro-tip though: keep reserved seating to your processional VIPs (parents, grandparents, escorts, anyone walking down the aisle). If you start blocking off too many rows, you risk the front of your ceremony looking weirdly empty — and no one wants that in their photos.
A few reserved spots = happy VIPs and a ceremony that feels full and inviting.

Today, I am 40. 🥂
It feels a little surreal to say that out loud (err... type?), but mostly I’m just grateful. Grateful that 16 years ago, at 24 years old, I took a leap and started a business that still lights me up today. I’ve been lucky enough to walk alongside couples during one of the biggest milestones of their lives — and that’s never something I take for granted.
Outside of weddings, life right now is…full. Full of the good, the hard, the growing pains, and the little joys. I’m learning more and more that both can (and do) exist at the same time — and that’s where the real magic is.
So here’s to 40: to the clients who’ve trusted me, the friends I’ve made in this wild industry, and to continuing to do work I deeply love while also carving out space for the rest of life.
(And yes, here’s a rare BTS photo of me actually on a wedding day. I try my hardest to avoid cameras, but milestones call for exceptions, right?)

Since 2009, DPNAK Weddings has been helping awesome couples, just like you, plan and execute weddings that were meaningful, smooth-flowing and memorable.
We’ve been everywhere from barns to country clubs, from backyards to swanky hotel ballrooms. We’ve worked through freak snowstorms and crazy hurricanes. We’ve seen groomsmen get naked and dance on pianos and wedding photographers get rushed to emergency rooms. We’ve given directions to lost bus drivers and built bouquets on-the-fly.
Having DPNAK Weddings on your team is about so much more than just picking out pretty flowers. (Though, that’s also a very fun job)
It’s about having someone you can go to with any question you have — and receiving a smart and helpful answer (quickly).
It’s about having someone who knows more about the details of your wedding than ANYONE — including yourself.
It’s about trusting that you’ve got a Fairy Godmother/Wedding Wizard on your team who’s going to expertly manage every bit of your day while you’re busy focusing on marrying your best friend and celebrating with the best people you know.
Because your wedding is a day that you’ll remember for the rest of your life. Let’s fill it with the BEST memories possible.
