Hours:
Classes are by reservation only
See Calender on website for scheduled classes. Price Quick Look
Studio Classes: $25 kids classes, $40 regular paint classes, pricing varies on special events. Lush Art provides a studio space and supplies, (canvas, paint, brushes), in a fun presentation with helpful instruction. Lush Art provides lessons where customers can recreate an art piece of their
own. Lush Art accomplishes this by teaching the painting using step by step instruction, often on a pre-sketched canvas. This is done in a fun, relaxing, low-key, low pressure environment so the customers have fun and socialize while learning. The customers are encouraged throughout the process. The customers then get to leave with their painting at the end of the evening. No experience is necessary. The Lush Art staff believe art should be available and achievable for everyone. Lush Art is a great option for ladies night, team building, birthdays, bachelorette parties, baby showers, wedding showers, and family outings. Our Perry studio is BYOB. Please bring your drink of choice and drink responsibly. We also take custom orders to paint items for you and gift certificates available for purchase.

Doe a deer a female reindeer. Did you know Santa’s reindeer are likely all females? Only female reindeer still have antlers at Christmas; the males of the species shed their headgear before mid-December. Paint this deer tomorrow with Adrianne. This class was full@last week and they turned out so good!
Want a cute painting of your pet? Last year we did Leprechaun your pet. This time we will make mixed media Santa hats. Last time we even had a bearded dragon painted! All are welcome. You MUST send a photo of your pet so your canvas can be prepped ahead of time.
Friday night join Sharon to learn about painting reflections and waddle into the weekend with your penguins.
Saturday we are doing the Nutcracker again after such a good time in November.
Creative kids are our favorite kids. Next Sunday is a fun family friendly class with this cutie Christmas Walrus with Sharon.
Don’t forget to have your child work on their entries for our Creative Kids contest. See details a few posts back. Can’t wait to hang their artwork!!

Are you feeling like time is rushing by? We do too! I can’t believe it’s December. Don’t let another month rush by without taking a little time for yourself and to be creative.
So excited for the next classes. Book your favorite online, come into our homey little studio, relax, and create for a couple hours.
See you there!

Announcing our Creative Kids Contest!
We are big believers of lifelong learning over here at Lush Art.
I was talking with friends and remembered winning an art contest in middle school to design a pin to sell so that my class could raise money to buy an acre in Belize. I hadn’t thought of that for years. Wonder if I can go stay on our acre of land? 🙃 Want to take bets if it was a 90’s money making scam or a real thing?
My designer friend remembers winning a contest too. I thought it could be fun to do one for kids and the next generation of artists.
I’ll have a judging panel of local artists vote for their Art Star. There are prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place. We think all kids are Art Stars so all who enter will get a discount code to use on an upcoming kid’s event or camp and a shout out on a Reel.
To enter you MUST include the form printed and completely filled out legibly. If the sheet isn’t filled out, they can’t be included in the contest. These will be on display at the studio and winners will have a special Artist feature here are social media.
Make sure to save this post to refer back to for entries. Tag friends with creative kids who are age 6-11.
The more creative the better! I can’t wait to see what the kids come up with!

It’s that time of the month! Save Your Faves!! If there’s a class you know you want to take make sure to purchase before Thursday morning or it will be swapped out for something else or cancelled.
Also remember Thursday morning is the cut off to register for the Kiddo and Me cookie class scheduled for this Saturday so that can prep! Perfect for kids 6 and up. Creating with your kids is a great way to spend the day.

In first grade Griffin came home and asked me to save a child’s life by donating blood. How do you say no to that? Well I nearly puked and passed out in a gymnasium full of people.
All this to ask you, will you do some lunges and squats in the comfort of your home to send a child to Camp Hope?
Follow the link and sign up! For each person who signs up $100 will be donated to help send kids to camp. My friend Sarah MacConnell Schanck is the driving force and I’ve watched her take this from a dream to reality. I’m so proud of you!!
Also if you’re able to donate blood without passing out and puking, go do that too. It does save lives.
But first don’t forget to sign up now to support Camp Hope. Takes like 30 seconds.
It's time! Are you ready to Hustle For Hope? Last year you helped us to send 28 kids to camp for FREE! Help us send kids in Central Georgia to camp through the state's first ever Camp HOPE program for kids 1st-8th grades who have been affected by childhood trauma. Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney, Anita R. Howard will donate $100 for everyone who completes our December exercise challenge... up to $25,000!
Register here by November 30th: https://forms.office.com/r/Pde8i7wfvj.

Want to get in the spirit? Coming up soon!
Tomorrow we have two opportunities to paint with us. Either in studio with Adrianne for Dolly Extravaganza (thank you for subbing in for me) or in Warner Robins with Heather to be Merry and Bright.
Thursday’s Deer with Adrianne is currently sold out. We may sub it in for something not performing well in December so be on the lookout for updates.
Thursday is the cut off for our Kiddo and Me cookie decorating class on Saturday so that can prep your cookies. This class needs more sign ups to keep it.
Friday night is Christmas Birds class. This class needs sign ups to keep it.
Saturday night is Vintage Santa and it needs more sign ups to keep it.
Monday is Reindeer class and it needs more sign ups to keep it.
Tuesday is Santa Your Pet. Make sure you send your pet photo in! Cut off for this class is Tuesday morning so your canvas can be prepped.
See these and the rest of December on our website. We have several classes that are on the chopping block so if you have a favorite make sure you book it.

And current era. 2021-2023. When I made a list of wishes I wanted a studio that feels like home. The studio was built in the early 1920’s and we love the feeling of creativity and it is like being in a treehouse.
The best time to support small business is right now. Don’t wait, if you wait your favorites may not make it. Small business is tireless and exhausting and heartbreaking and rewarding and amazing. All at once. I have the best crew currently who are our biggest supporters and motivators. They love this business so hard. Hard enough it keeps me going.
10 years is a long time. I’m taking a step back in teaching, cutting back to prevent burnout, teaching workshops that make me excited again, and plan to let the instructors and their talents shine because their spirit is what you all need.
I’m hoping 2024 is a year of learning, remembering why we do this, and renewal.

On small business Saturday I reflect. I’ll refer to this as the messy middle. 2017-2021 in our 2nd studio in a Warner Robins. Wooooooo. High of highs and low of lows. Went from about 1000 square feet to over 4000 square feet with Escape Artists the escape room business I also opened. And then 2020. And it all came crumbling down.
I learned a lot. Cried a lot. Wanted to quit a lot. And honestly probably should have. But I still wasn’t ready to let go of my dream or this safe community I had built for you. I wasn’t ready to let down my employees. I kept fighting.
From in studio to on zoom we kept at it.
This is Part 2 of 3.

In honor of Small Business Saturday here’s a look back at the beginning. 2013-2017 on Russell Parkway in Warner Robins we were in our first studio. My first month I had two customers, the angels in the first photo. I was so scared. And then it grew to more than I ever expected.
These were the good ol’ days. In business you’re told to hustle and grow. A big part of me wishes we had just stayed in that first little space. It was a happy place for so many.

Only 5 seats left for tonight. Join us for a show of a good time!
Tuesday there’s two options. Dolly Extravaganza at the studio or Merry and Bright () which needs more sign ups to keep it.
The Deer only has three more seats left.
Let’s paint together!
11/23/2023
Y’all loved this the last time we did this.
I stuff my turkey with my friends in a plastic container and I don’t have any issues getting the plastic off.
11/22/2023
What’s your favorite Thanksgiving food? I’ll tell you mine at the end. You don’t want to miss it.
Heather and I are out of office the rest of the week and weekend. I’ll be checking emails for cancellations on events, but all event requests and gift certificate requests will be returned on Monday.
Happy Thanksgiving! Remember over on Facebook we have a FREE flower field art class to watch and over on YouTube we have a FREE kid’s Turpumpkin art class to do with your families. Want an in person class? Tonight’s class has two tickets left. Friday night’s Snowman class has tickets left.
My favorite Thanksgiving food? Leftover Eggrolls! I take leftovers on Friday (turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans) and wrap them in an eggroll wrapper, fry or air fry, and dip in gravy. I decorate my tree, watch Hallmark movies, and enjoy an actual day off. If you make these tag me! They’re SOOOOOO good.
Don’t forget to shop small this weekend! Even when small businesses can’t offer discounts over Black Friday weekend, still support them by buying, sharing, and engaging with them.

Thankful for Creativity Art Camp. Day 1. Thank you Mrs Sharon, Ms Haven, and Ms Rylee for ALL your incredible hard work today. Somehow camp oversold on the website, but they stepped in to give the kids plenty of help (and made it where I could go home and work cause it gets LOUD y’all😂🙀🙉).
Sharon works so hard to make these camps so special for the kids. Today she made homemade apple sauce as part of their snack.
She’s our overachiever and it’s much appreciated.
Want your kids to have a fabulous and creative time? We have a Christmas camp (Santa’s Elves) and a Winter camp (Winter Wonderland) in December.
There’s also a kids Walrus class coming on Dec 10.

What do we sell? Fun. Education. Community. Imagination. Creativity. Do we hand you imagination and creativity and then you’re automatically going to know how to use them? No, but we do give you the tools to help uncover them. Sometimes they get hidden under layers of adulting and dust of not using.
Call us the feather duster of creativity. We hand it to you, it’s up to you to do the work.

It’s December Class preview!
Come say hi! Help us reach more people!!
11/13/2023
Celebrating 10 years! This Wednesday at noon I’ll be in the FB group, Lush Art’s Creative Cluster live for a free lunch and learn painting. Join me and paint along, join me for a mid day break, or join me later (assuming technology works and records and posts it).
You need acrylic paints and I suggest pre painting your surface (canvas, watercolor paper, acrylic paper) a super dark blue like Payne’s Grey or Cobalt depending on the brand. You could even add a touch of black to a blue.
I’ll be using the colors shown in the painting:
Yellow ochre/oxide
Aqua (Bahama Blue)
White
Burnt Umber
Magenta
Cool red
Sap green
Cool yellow
Phthalo blue
Or use what you have!
You’ll also need a small flat brush, a liner brush, some paper towels (to paint with and use for wiping your brush), water to clean brushes.
See you there to celebrate 10 years.
11/13/2023
Are you ready to get in the holiday spirit? Who is decorated for Christmas? Me personally at home, I still haven’t removed my Halloween decorations. I’m not feeling well so it’s just not been a priority. And I know I need to go get Christmas set up at the studio since we are transitioning to more holiday paintings. Just not feeling it yet.
Join us this week because you’re already in the spirit or more like me and want to get there.
Do you have to be a kid for our family friendly classes? No. We just keep these alcohol free and kid friendly designs. You can either paint one with your kids, drop your kids off, or paint and play like a kid again. This elf countdown is fun for all ages. The middle is chalkboard paint and you will be able to countdown to Christmas!
The still life class is still currently open but will need to pull early so they can prep. Waiting to hear back from .me.not.wr so LAST CALL for Thursday’s class. Pulling tomorrow morning! These are so fun because you get your own bouquet and then also paint it and you’ll take both home at the end of class.
The free lunch and learn is a celebration of our 10 years and everyone is invited to watch the live and play along with us. It’s being held over on our Facebook Group, Lush Art’s Creative Cluster Wednesday at noon and I hope to leave it up to be watched later.
Friday is The Mean One. Join us for some holiday fun.
Thank you for Selling out Saturday night and I believe there’s only ONE spot left for Thanksgiving camp! Go grab it for Thankful for Creativity.
I’ll be working on adding the Christmas and Winter camps this week.
Calendar Release is Friday and I’ll be on with previews tomorrow!
11/13/2023

A few changes to our November Calendar
11/07/2023
I’m so proud at the different classes we offer and our ability to reach all ages and stages.
I’m currently doing The Artist’s Way and was complimented this weekend during a session at my ability to notice that people find us often during a new life stage. New moms, new couples, new newly divorced, new empty nesters, newly diagnosed, newly widowed, newly retired. Last week there was a quite in the book about how endings can be new beginnings.
We love help people gain confidence and reinvent themselves in their new life stage.
Are you missing something? Maybe creating can help. We’d love to be your creative home.
11/06/2023
Thanksgiving Camp is coming up! Sign your kiddos up to get creative with Mrs Sharon. We have such great feedback about these camps and Sharon loves spending this creative time with your kids!

I wrote a super cute caption yesterday and IG ate it and it’s living in post purgatory. So giving up since it’s been 24 hours.
Instead of spending time crafting a cute post in case this also doesn’t go through I’ll just ask for some love by commenting your favorite color below. Easy peasy.

This class is tomorrow night! You’ll need to send in a photo of your pet so we can prep your canvas.
Hey there Middle Georgia! Do you know that learning a skill in a group setting is good for the soul? I love seeing people grow from class to class. All levels can improve and grow and we would love to help you!
This perspective of a class is so fun that our instructor Adrianne captured the other night. We would love for you to join us soon to paint and learn and grow. Take a moment during this busy season to relax and create.
Happy holidays! Don’t forget to book a moment for yourself to recharge during this busy season. Creating is my favorite way to turn my brain on and ground myself to keep grinding.
Which is your favorite? So much fun to come. Sign up for these classes and many more on our website.

Monthly Tetris of canvas. It’s Calendar Release Weekend. Did you know I literally do a little wiggle waggle shake as notifications come in of tickets selling? I do! Not only me, but so do the teachers. Those tickets support my instructors, keep the doors open, pay the bills. And each notification means we are getting closer to another month of providing a safe space to create when the release weekend goes well. As I was typing this Peter saved the Moose! Yesterday KayLeigh saved the Lion so BOTH will have minimum to hold class next week. This is a HUGE win. Calendar Release feels a bit like the little engine that could. Each ticket helps the train climb the track. I also often look at it this way… Peter and Kayleigh just paid for the electricity for all of you to learn in December! That’s cool. #smallbusinessbigdreams
I just filmed a FREE art class to celebrate 10 years in business. Thanks to everyone who is ever liked, commented, or shared a post. To everyone who has attended a class. To everyone who has taught a class with us. You all make this a special and magical place. I’ll post a link in comments to go watch it.
If you don’t quit. What have you stuck with that you’re so much better for? 10 years of welcoming people into our creative home. The spaces may have changed but the heart of why we do this hasn’t. We do it for you. Creativity is a weird emotion/quality. You need to get it out and use it. Some people like the wonderful instructors we have had over the years, also have the need to share it. I love painting. But I also freaking love seeing others have their ah ha moments, getting to watch people being proud of what they make, instructors growing and advancing, the memories being made, and the laughter that so often ensues. If you ever feel like people suck and life is heavy come to a class. I’ve had AMAZING people come into my life because of this space that I’m so proud to have created for the community. It’s so hard. And I often want to give up, but then someone shows me why I’m here and I sign on for another year. Cheers to 10 years. My special request is if you’re still in the area and we have ever brought you joy, that you book a class and come see us again. Help fill our coffers so to speak. And if you’ve moved away or are still here make plans to celebrate 10 years with a Lunch and Learn online November 15. It’s free and more info will come.
Tomorrow is Calendar Release! It’s our 120th release. I’d estimate that means we have taught 3,000 classes! Thousands of people have been in and out of our doors discovering their creative sides. Many for just a time or two but also many have found a hobby they love, a collective of others who are looking for something positive and fun to do. Have you been to visit us?
Join us for some creative exploring.Sept 7: Flamingo Family Night with SharonSept 8: Floral Chickens with Heather Sept 9: Mixed Media Petals with AdrianneSept 11: Mermaid with Nicole Sept 12: Printmaking with CaraSept 13: Creative Canine Family Night with SharonSept 14: Tie Dye Aprons (learn about the chemistry of powdered dyes, different pattern technique, and make your own apron with artist @micahgoguenart) Several of these classes need more signups to reach minimum to hold class so don’t wait! Make sure to sign up now.
We’ve had some emails, as of now we plan to continue with class. Please make sure to check your emails (and junk inbox) for an update if we decide to reschedule for safety reasons tomorrow. I’ll also update here on social media if we decide to cancel. If you’d rather not venture out, we can make you at home kits to pick up within the next week. To switch to a kit, please send an email before 4pm tomorrow (Wednesday).
