We *almost* canceled this session because of rain, but despite the fact that we ended soggy and covered in about 100 mosquito bites, we had the best time 😆🫶🏼

If all else fails, toss the baby in the air 😉🤪

It was hailing on my way to this session, but Zak, Cassandra, Rayna, & Willow were brave enough to stick it out. About 10 minutes in, the sun came out a bit and it stopped snowing! It ended up being a beautiful morning. So glad they were tough enough to endure a little cold so we could capture these sweet moments with their precious girl.

I love family sessions. I am always amazed when I see a family just one year later at how much their kiddos have grown. The little years go sooo quickly & kids change so much in a short period of time. When I started having kids, I decided to try and do yearly family photos while they’re young. I’m excited to one day look back at each year of photos and see the changes captured. Adding more kids, watching my oldest become a big sis, photos of them only being held to them walking with us, running around chasing each other, and inevitably getting taller than mama. 🥲🥹 I know I’m bias, but what a gift to get to capture all of these things and keep the memories forever. It’s one of the many many reasons why I am so grateful I get to do this. 🫶🏼

Meghan and I were laughing before their session because it had been cloudy all day and right as they arrived, the sun came out. I’ve had the privilege of photographing Meghan & Mitch’s sweet family for 5 years now and every single session is blazing hot and sunny🤣🤣 If you know Meg, maybe it isn’t surprising that she bring the sun with her wherever she goes 🌞🖤

My girl. 🤍🫶🏼

I thought that when I had kids I would take pictures of them all the time. Only seems reasonable, being a photographer. Well…I don’t lol. I think I’ve taken professional photos of her about 3 times total. Her brother even less 🤣 so here’s to trying to be a bit better with that! And even though I choose to keep my kiddos faces off social media, there’s lots of cuteness to be had still!

Had approximately 1 week of snow to shoot in this winter and I believe it’s over 🤣 thankful to have gotten this one in while we could! Despite being absolutely freezing, I really do love snowy sessions 🤍🥹
