A little pop of color for your day! Ranunculus (pictured here) should start blooming again in a few weeks. As March gets under way, the garden and I are coming out of winter dormancy and gearing up for a busy flower season. It’s all about starting seeds at the moment - sowing directly in the garden as well as growing under shop lights in our laundry room and kitchen. It’s pretty crowded in our one room casita, but blooms like these make it all worth it!

Today is an epic day in the flower world! released their much anticipated new seeds into the world - a painstaking breeding project they’ve been working on for years and years. These new Zinnias, Dahlias and Celosias aren’t your grandma’s flowers. These are luxury, dare I say boujee, new seed varieties with an insane, nuanced m color palette that didn’t exist on the market - until now. p.s. Fun Fact: when I was about 10, I couldn’t decide between decorating my room in a Victorian motif or a “Farmhouse Country” theme (a la Anne of Green Gables). 😂Maybe having a flower business was one day was inevitable? 🤷🏽‍♀️ I know AnnE would approve.

Interrupting my usual flower feed to invite Petaluma folks to my husband Edwin's Album Release Party this Saturday at Grand Central Cafe. “Doors” open at 3pm, concert starts at 4pm. Edwin is a Dominican singer-songwriter and producer.
