****MAM Miss American Model Update****

I thought I would put a post out on my MAM pageant and when it will be. Unfortunately, for right now, it is going to be out on hold until further notice. I had a health scare a couple of weeks ago. I had symptoms of chest pain, nausea, light headed, heart racing, etc. It was going on 12 hours, so at 4 am, I decided to drive to the ER to see what was going on or if it was just a panic attack or something. They admitted me, raced me around after taking my heartbeat of 202 BPM and multiple tests, and I found out I have SVT - Supraventricular Tachycardia - which is a congenital heart condition I never knew I had. It is an extra "cord" attached to your heart that gets triggered easier than your main heart. It is triggered by caffeine, stress, chocolate, sleep apnea, etc. Luckily, it can be cured with an outpatient surgery that is TBD. So, I don't want to book my pageant not knowing when that will be. I am so humbled by all of the messages I have been receiving asking when it will be. I am so glad you love the pageant as much as I do. Rest assured, I will make an announcement as soon as I set the next one. Thank you all!!!

It's been a few days since the 2023 Miss American Model pageant and when I reflect on the weekend, all I can say is "Wow. I am SO incredibly lucky." The room was filled with unwavering support for one another and such positivity. THAT was my favorite. All contestants cheered for their fellow competitors, and I even saw one literally give the clothes off her back when another's clothing malfunctioned.

Thank you to my amazing staff for literally pulling everything together. We are a team. I couldn't have done it without you!

Andi Mayer Matusiak and Heather Shea - THANK YOU for being there to set up the prize tables, line up contestants, run back and forth, sell tickets, take tickets, sell program books, help at registration, and literally fix anything you saw went wrong. LOL You are the glue to this production and I thank you for being there for us every year!

We would like to say a heartfelt goodbye and Happy Retirement from djing and lighting up our pageant stage to the amazing Jeff Kohler of DJ Express. Jeff is a part of our family and has been for many years. He will be very missed as he moves on to enjoy being a grandfather (the coolest and funniest grandpa ever!) We wanted to send you off with some of your most memorable pageant friends from throughout the years who have now become lifelong friends. If you know Jeff, you know that he is so friendly and outgoing, and really gets to know all of the contestants and families because he truly cares about each person he comes into contact with. Wow. Now that I have had some time to settle down and take all these posts in, I wanted to say thank you to every contestant, volunteer, sponsor and judge of the Miss National Model pageant that happened this past weekend. I am incredibly blessed to have you all in my corner!

Crystal Cavey - Thank you SO much for being am amazing role model to all of the contestants and constantly being a positive light for them. Everyone was so impressed by not only your motivational speaking abilities as an emcee, but as a mentor; encouraging everyone to help lift each other up and be their best selves.
