Was that not the most amazing October ever, weather-wise?? 🍁 The leaves held on all month, painting the perfect backdrop for so many beautiful sessions. I want to thank each of my amazing clients from last month—I came back from surgery feeling stronger than ever, and the beauty of October really fueled my creativity. I’m working hard on everyone’s galleries, finishing up today and tomorrow, and will have them to you very soon!

This sweet family of three brought so many smiles and was an absolute joy to work with. It’s always so much fun to have families come back to me again because I love seeing everyone grow!

These photos popped up in my personal Facebook memories today, and I realized I never shared them here on Instagram! Out of all the photoshoots I’ve been involved in on the other side of the camera, this one stands out as one of my absolute favorites. It was a chance to truly honor who I am and document it in a meaningful way. Thank you for these!

As much as I love the 90s, I’ve definitely changed from the girl I was back then, and I’m still evolving. These pictures served as a beautiful reminder to embrace the fun and quirky side of me and to never forget her, even when life demands a more serious tone. Life is short, and we have to have fun while we’re living it!

Of the 24 years since we said goodbye to the 90s, I’ve been a photographer for 13 of them, and that’s not going to change anytime soon! I’m currently on a short hiatus after my recent surgery, but I’ll be back to shooting soon. I can’t wait to get behind the camera again and continue capturing your own special memories!

Whether you’ve been a friend of mine since Orbitz was still a drink and not an airline company, or joined me sometime along the way on this crazy journey called life… I appreciate each and every one of you for adding to my life in a meaningful way. You rock! 🤟🏻 or as we said in the 90s, you are da bomb dot com 💣

Meet Ava, Class of 2025!!

I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Ava’s senior photography session at my favorite spot, Lapham Peak, this past weekend. The wildflowers were blooming like crazy, and the weather was just perfect!

Ava was a joy to work with, and this session brought back so many memories. I’ve photographed this wonderful family many times, and most notably, her older sister was one of my first high school senior clients over 12 years ago! 📸

It was tough to pick just one preview because Ava’s photos turned out so beautifully. I’ll be sending a few extra to mom, but for now, check out stunning Ava!

I just want to take a moment to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out for our Holiday fun at Royal Roost this past weekend! It was definitely a very Critterful Christmas… I got to pet & photograph 18 different dogs! Plus 5 families, and countless other fun moments.

I am diligently working my way through the images, finishing galleries as quickly as I can, but of course in true Nikki fashion, my own doggie had a health related emergency yesterday. He’s on the up and up now, and since today was my planned editing day anyway, I’m still on track to have most galleries delivered today, and the rest by Friday morning!

Thank you again… until next year!

Hello my wonderful clients! You should have heard from me this morning about your sessions today, but if not, please check your email! I am giving everyone the option of moving to tomorrow with the rain today, or holding off until a little bit later today! I will do everything I can to still be able to capture your holiday memories 🙂

We are holding off until after noon. Once it clears up and stops raining we will be OPEN. This only means we will stay open a bit later. Come see the lights!!

We did a little test shoot tonight at one of our new sets for 2023 with Fly, who you might recognize from Critter Yoga! She is one of the three sweet border collies at Royal Roost that give us all kisses when we are in our forward folds here in the springtime 😆

We are all ready for you this weekend! Everyone who has a session with me tomorrow should have received a message or email from me, and I will be reaching out to the Sunday sessions tomorrow with all of the arrival details! I do still have one, mayyyyybe two more openings so if you’re thinking “hmm… what can I do this weekend to create some everlasting holiday memories?!” send me a message!

We were getting a little nervous about the weather forecast for Saturday, but it looks like we are going to have the all-clear by 10:00am tomorrow! Families and pet clients, if you’re booked with me for this weekend, keep an eye out for a message from me later with some details about this weekend. I am headed over to Royal Roost now to help put the finishing touches on everything & will be reaching out later!
