Owner and executive chef, Sam, has more than 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry in Taiwan, China and Philly. He was a chef in several well-known restaurants in Philadelphia, including Susanna Foo, Sampan and Buddakan.
Gua Bao is a well-known signature street food of Taiwan. In Taiwan, it is called "Bao" or "Taiwanese sandwich" and westerners generally refer to it as "bun". Sam sees the bao bun as the Taiwanese food that could best display fast food concept -- with fresher and healthier ingredients -- and it could show the fusion of classic Chinese and Western cultures and could go with any new, interesting ingredients. Bao bun should be a fun food.
