🎉 Big News! We’re excited to announce our upcoming new location: The Reading Terminal Market! We will be opening either the end of December or early January. Stay tuned for the opening date.

We can’t wait to start this new chapter with our business and want to thank all of our customers, friends, and family who have supported us along the way. ❤️

Bao & Bun Studio: Fresh, Fusion, and Fun!

Owner and executive chef, Sam, has more than 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry in Taiwan, China and Philly. He was a chef in several well-known restaurants in Philadelphia, including Susanna Foo, Sampan and Buddakan.

Gua Bao is a well-known signature street food of Taiwan. In Taiwan, it is called "Bao" or "Taiwanese sandwich" and westerners generally refer to it as "bun". Sam sees the bao bun as the Taiwanese food that could best display fast food concept -- with fresher and healthier ingredients -- and it could show the fusion of classic Chinese and Western cultures and could go with any new, interesting ingredients. Bao bun should be a fun food.
