Come see us at the Cherry Blossom Festival this weekend! 🌸🌸🌸

Celebrate traditional and contemporary Japanese culture under the cherry blossom trees during this free and public, family-friendly event, featuring live music, dance performances, arts and crafts, a vendor fair, food trucks, a beer garden, and much more.

We’re located at booth F16 this year (see map).

We’re having a difficult time telling Google about our new location and now they are saying that we are permanently closed!

We would greatly appreciate it if you could tell Google that we are open at our new location.

To do that, go to Google.com and type in Bao and Bun Studio.

In the Business Information area, click on the “Permanently Closed” text and then click on the Suggest An Edit button.

In the Location tab, enter “1136 Arch St, Philadelphia, PA 19107” and click the Save button.

Then in the Hours tab, select “Open with main hours”. We are open everyday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Click the Save button.

Hopefully if enough people suggest these edits, Google will update the information.

Owner and executive chef, Sam, has more than 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry in Taiwan, China and Philly. He was a chef in several well-known restaurants in Philadelphia, including Susanna Foo, Sampan and Buddakan.

Gua Bao is a well-known signature street food of Taiwan. In Taiwan, it is called "Bao" or "Taiwanese sandwich" and westerners generally refer to it as "bun". Sam sees the bao bun as the Taiwanese food that could best display fast food concept -- with fresher and healthier ingredients -- and it could show the fusion of classic Chinese and Western cultures and could go with any new, interesting ingredients. Bao bun should be a fun food.
