🌸 MOTHER'S DAY 2024 🌸 Hey flower friends, thanks for your inquires about orders for Mother's Day. I just wanted to hop on here and say that this will be the first major floral high holiday where I'm not going to be making bouquets or arrangements for sale. I no longer vend with any stores, and I'm recently dealing with a sudden personal loss; I need some time and space to grieve where I can right now.

What I am offering is a class at on Saturday, May 11th. We only have a few spots left, so head on over to the link my bio before Monday at noon to sign up! I just ordered the blooms for this and I'm so stoked to share them with you. The recipe will be a surprising mix of seasonal spring blooms with some tropicals, and hopefully some weirdo stems you've never seen before! Hope to see you there for community and snacks and floral joy.

Flowers are truly medicine. Working in my studio has been one of the strongest ways that I've been able to ground over the last week. Thanks for all of your kind words to those who have watched my stories.

🌈 FIRST PUBLIC FLORAL CLASS!!! 🌈 Hi flower friends! I am ecstatic to finally be offering my first floral design class: Tickets are now LIVE (LINK IN BIOOO)! It's happening just in time for Mother's Day, so, not only could you build your own arrangement to gift somebody special, you could share a lesson together!

It's all happening at the beautiful on Saturday, May 11 @2 PM. This two hour class will be a beginner to intermediate level class where we will co-create a foundation for building sculptural arrangements, much like the ones you've seen here on Instagram! We will go over some design theory, mechanics and EAT SNACKS. Ticket link is in the bio. Spaces are very limited!

Teaching is meaningful work to me! I've been collecting pairs of floral shears for years in the hopes of offering classes someday, and I'm so grateful for these fantastic women to have invited me to teach in their space. I've missed sharing my knowledge so much since the era of Covid struck! I've formally taught studio glassblowing, ceramics, general art, graphic design and yoga, working with students of all ages from Kindergarteners, to college, to seniors. Nothing makes me happier than to share what I know, watch somebody get it and apply it in real time.

Y'all, it's going to be fun! Not only do we get to work with my carefully curated, locally sourced blooms, you get to pick a one of a kind vintage vessel to arrange in, AND, Bloomsday is bringing you food and drink to nosh while you work!

💋 HEYA! 💋 Have you shared any funds for mutual aid with a person of color lately? Not since 2020? Well, let me introduce to you a very good friend of mine, Octavia! Their GoFundMe is not quite there yet, so they basically can't pay rent for April, and they are now down to some of their last dollars. Fu***ng f**k this economy in 2024.

You can have a masters degree, you can be well spoken and so likable and you can still come up short. And the worst part is: If we don't show up for us, nobody is going to show up at all.

♥️ UPLIFT OCTAVIA!!! ♥️ Hello reader, we are raising funds on behalf of our dear friend Tay. They are a Black, q***r, and non-binary person of Afro & Afro-indigenous decent. They have had a really tough year of grief and loss of loved ones, loss of their home temporarily and lots of really intense life changes on top of being in their Saturn return (iykyk!). Just when they thought things were getting better and they got their own apartment — the rug got pulled out from under them because their non-profit job ended their contract early with little warning and professional care and they have no safety net of funds! This was an unexpected change!

We are raising funds for them to cover housing costs, utilities, living expenses, cat care for their cat babies, and for them to buy beverages (which they love). They are in the job search and are actively interviewing and searching however the job process is long, scary, and often uncertain.

We hope that these funds can give them a little cushion as they get on their feet. Any monetary contribution would be helpful, along with sharing and boosting on social media.

Any funds raised over the fundraising amount Tay plans to redistribute back to other Black, brown and indigenous folks in need!

🌈 BIG CHANGES!!! 🌈 Hi flower friends! This is Kristin of FLOWER SHOP!!!, and I have some major news! I’m shifting my focus from small custom orders to events only. After hustling hard for many years, I'm ready to put my creative energy into large scale projects, event work and weekly venue orders. We will have brews by Fat Lady Brewing, bites by and dried bouquets for sale by US! 🙂 There will also be representatives from to participate in the fun.

🔲 Elaina + Emma 🔲 Because I am super sentimental, I love to encourage marriers to choose florals to be at least a little reflective of the season. For myself, noticing a local stem appearing on the scene takes me back to what feels like hundreds of memories of where I've been, what I was doing, sometimes even what the air felt like. Local ranunculus was just popping up in time for E + E's perfect spring wedding at in late April. Uniting ranunculus with their favorite stems (thistle, hellebore, and dried lavender), we created a spring showcase of rich and moody texture combinations that we pulled through Emma's corsage, Elaina's boutonniere, wedding party wearables, chuppah decor, and arrangements for the table. I am so grateful for FLOWER SHOP!!! to be included in wedding vendor guide because we were part of an all star cast of q***r purveyors of joy that day! The vibes were amazing. 🔲 APPRECIATION POST!!! 🔲 My name is Kristin and I am the designer/owner/operator behind FLOWER SHOP!!!. I just wanted to give a shout out to my new followers and say thank you to anyone who has been along for this ride over the past 3+ years. Your support means a lot to me!!!
