Shavuot crash course in dough: Jewish holiday which commemorates receiving the 10 commandments at Mt. Sinai. Some Jews stay up all night studying Torah which is supposed to be sweet! Mt. Sinai was a fiery 🔥(or flowery) 🌸 blaze depending on your MIDRASH (Rabbinic story). Some Jews eat dairy…even though most Jews can’t tolerate it 🤷🏻‍♀️ happy Shavuot!

Why is this dough different from all other dough? 🤔 This dough is Kosher for Passover!! Did you know most homemade or commercial play dough is made with flour?! In observance of Passover, some Jewish people do not eat wheat-based products and some people cannot even have them in their homes! This rice-based dough recipe is Passover-friendly + Seder ready! Purim is coming!!🎭 We had THE BEST time creating the Purim story from the Book of Esther out of DOUGH with learners in Grades PK-4th. 5th + 6th graders learned about the Purim tradition to give gifts to those in need + made their own play dough to accommodate folks with sensory needs during the noisy and festive holiday of Purim.
