As per usual with a special event we have a unique to the experience menu for our Mocktail Hour with & on Saturday, 1.11 in Ardmore!

This is our first event of 2025 and our only event for the winter as we’ll be taking the rest of January and February off to regroup for the busy months ahead!

We’ll be serving a Pineapple 🍍 Ceviche, Quinoa Solterito, and an Aji de Papa. All new, all vegan, and all gluten-free.

will be serving a Passionfruit spin on an alfajor and a petit four 🤤 for dessert and will be providing three mouthwatering NA cocktail pairings including a spin on a pisco sour! AND GUESS WHAT?! Both of their offerings are also vegan & gluten-free.

I’m so excited to partner with these two inspiring ladies and hope everyone is as excited for this menu as I am!

Took the last few days off from social media to reflect on 2024 and get some much needed rest after a crazy holiday season!

Sooo many things have happened, it’s hard to come up with words to describe the emotions. There were so many highs and so many lows, so many wins and so many losses. A lot of really happy things happened and a lot of really sad, and bad things happened, but we made it through to 2025 ✨🍇🌱 and that’s exciting on its own!

La Llamita participated in so many exciting events, made so many new friends, and accomplished so much. I’m grateful for all the opportunities that have come our way. Things don’t always play out as we intend them to, but even when things go wrong in a new business it prepares us for the future and I’m excited to use all the knowledge gained as a guide for 2025.

January/February are slow months for the food industry, so aside from our event on 1/11 with & we’ll be closed to regroup and focus on admin work, as well as planning out our calendar for the year ahead.

La Llamita wishes you all a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2025 filled with lots of love and growth 🌱

🚐 BEEP BEEP 🚐

About two weeks ago, I completed a mini masters program sponsored by for Food Business Entrepreneurs. It was an INSANE four months while participating in the course, trying to run this tiny business, take care of myself/loved ones, and come up for air. I barely had time to shower and I often attended classes on the side of the road or from the kitchen 😅 BUT I’m so glad I made it through.

I learned so much, which on its own was worth it, but thennnn at the graduation ceremony, La Llamita was awarded one of three top tier grants for $10,000! It was such an overwhelming surprise, I instantly started crying. AND TODAYYYYY, I was able to put that grant money towards a down payment for a commercial vehicle 🚗

For the last 2 years, I’ve been beating up my Crosstrek, lugging food, supplies, tents, etc., around, spending hours loading and unloading the car, scraping and bruising my body, spilling food, and even been side swiped three times while setting up/breaking down events, so I’m beyond grateful that I finally have a vehicle I can store supplies in and can handle the wear and tear this operation invites.

It’s still going to take me years to finish paying it off, but having this van will allow me to be kinder to my body, participate in more festivals, and save me so much time on event days.

Thank you so much to & for providing this unique opportunity for people like myself! Running a food business is a wild challenge and I’m grateful to have participated!!

Every time I make cheesecake, I’m like yay I’m gonna take a picture of it for the gram, but it always gets eaten up too fast or I forget, but todayyyy as I was packing up holiday orders for you beautiful people, I remembered.

The first picture is a vanilla cheesecake in a pecan brownie crust that kind of tastes like a giant Oreo cookie and the second is a pumpkin cheesecake in a crumbly almond cookie crust.

Thank you so much to everyone who put in a holiday catering order this time around and a huge thank you to those of you who came back for seconds after Thanksgiving. You rule.

The evening will take place in Ardmore at the stunning NA bottle shop and feature an exclusively vegan/gluten-free menu. I’ll be preparing a few appetizers, Robin will be toasting us with NA cocktail pairings and Christina will be spoiling us all rotten as per usual.

And today an ode to Turrón. One of my all time favorite deserts from Peru. It’s an anise cookie cake made with syrup from boiled down fruit & warm spices.

It took me an entire day to make this dessert for our holiday party on Sunday, so I likely won’t be making it again until the next special event, but I wanted to share it because I’m so proud of how it came out! Teaching myself to recreate traditional Peruvian desserts into a gluten-free/vegan form has been so challenging, but so rewarding when I get it hits the spot.

A few people told me this was the highlight of their evening on Sunday, and that meant everything! It was definitely the highlight of mine along with the Lucuma cheesecake dressed in a warm purple corn jam 😋

He’s grateful to all of you for coming out and supporting his new family at La Llamita and can’t wait to share in some veggie treats with you soon.

Thank you all so much for coming out! It warmed my heart immensely to witness such a vibrant crowd of people make genuine connections over La Llamita’s food and be able to enjoy in all the offerings!

I hope this is the first of many Vegan Holiday Parties we throw and that we can continue to provide these warm inviting environments where everyone can come together to eat, and enjoy each other’s company! Our pre-orders for holiday catering are back!

I was going to change the menu, but a few of you requested we keep it the same, so you could try other dishes, so here it is!

The one thing we did add is a pumpkin chocolate chip cookie dessert option, since without cookies we’re just monsters 🍪👹🍪

Pick-up /delivery windows are on Monday, 12/23 from 12 PM - 6 PM and Tuesday 12/24 from 10 AM - 1 PM. For alternative times, please DM to coordinate!

And for those of you wondering, our individual platter portions are generous! You’ll receive a full size appetizer or entree serving of each item you choose.

Thank you for your orders in advance!! The holiday season/winter months are tough on food businesses, so every order means soooo sooo much!

As promised….

Here is the menu for La Llamita’s first of hopefully many Vegan Holiday Parties!

The menu is comprised of a few seasonal dishes, a few special requests made by attendees, a few favorites, a few new desserts, and lots of plant-based, gluten-free, organic goodasssss food! OH and Lasagna 🤤

The food will be presented buffet style and guests will be able to serve themselves as they please! We’ll even provide to go boxes for leftovers for people to take home.

I’m especially excited for this event, because unlike pop-ups and our four course dinners I’ll actually be able to hang out with everyone and mingle the night away!

The cost to attend is $45/person and tickets can be reserved at the link in bio!

Annddd we’re adding Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies 🍪 to the menu! They’re so creamy and soft with a dash of cinnamon for some extra warmth.

I know it’s short notice, but I’m hoping you’ll join us for a smorgasbord of plant-based gluten-free apps, entrees, drinks, and desserts on Sunday, December 15th from 5 PM - 8 PM!

$45 per person is the cost to attend and eat as much as your little heart desires from the serve yourself buffet while you mingle with other guests who share the same dietary habits 🌱

It’s a good feeling when you don’t have to worry about whether there’s butter in the mashed potatoes, or chicken stock in the butternut squash.
