We all know how hard it is to find your Kabila (Tribe) especially during these unprecedented times but when you do, I encourage you to water and nurture those relationships. Also take time to recognize people that show up for you in any capacity- it is not easy but these are the people that remind you of your WHY and to keep going OR stop and rest. Invest and be intentional about your community.

These are photos from our Volunteer Appreciation Brunch in 2024. We did a mini award Ceremony to highlight all the work and contributions of our amazing staff and volunteers. I am beyond grateful for each of you!

Words from our CEO: Your reputation will proceed you!

Initially we were scheduled to host the Love Jones Experience at an another location but the venue fell through (que sad slow music). There loss! I tried to tell them we have the dopest folks in the city come to our events 🎉 Anyway, for weeks I outreached to find another venue that embodied the basic needs for the event, that was not ridiculously expensive, while also being a dope space attendees could appreciate - I am BIG on the venue.

I was able to find the PERFECT location and still offer all aspects of the experience and more. How? Given the work we have done with and the event manager heard about our events and was more than happy to advocate for us.

Remember: Always produce quality, no matter what! You never know who is watching, listening, and advocating on your behalf.

If you’re looking for an amazing chef and caterer consider and his company to whip up something delicious. He has done at least 5 of events and we highly recommend him!

JR is professional, shows up on time, has fair pricing is fair AND produces quality photos quickly! One event we got our photos in 48 hours (not guarantee lol but trust us he is quick).
