Philadelphia Miniaturia is the first weekend in November every year. We are located at the DoubleTree Cherry Hill/Philadelphia, 2349 W. We offer workshops leading up to a weekend show and sale. Take a workshop (or two) and stay for the weekend to find your newest treasures to add to your scene or dollhouse. We hope to see you in the Fall!

Enter a land of whimsical yet peculiar miniatures populated by colorful beetles and lost treasures. Seymour creates tiny worlds living under glass domes that imagine encounters between the natural and human worlds. Beautiful beetle specimens covet an itty bitty Ouija board, roll a D20 die, or contemplate a misplaced toy. In other pieces, the roles are reversed and tiny, scale model people encounter enormous beetles of questionable hospitality. Visions of the apocalypse or the just world beneath our feet?

For years I scoured estate sales for battered and rejected furniture pieces to restore and paint. Designers like MacKenzie-Childs inspired me to try unusual color combinations and patterns. I painted for myself and others and had run out of room for full-sized furniture when I happened upon a dollhouse. A whole new world opened up for me! Now I focus exclusively on whimsical furniture. I prefer 1:12 scale and I have more ideas than time!
