Thanks to the strangers and fam who made this Halloween weekend so special! While the blissful moments were many, there were also some pesky moments of self-deprecation. Then, I reminded myself why I’m taking up space in this scene in the first place. It’s all about sparking/inspiring radical joy, authenticity, & healing within myself and in every encounter I’m grateful to have. Lest I forget, having fun too! Speaking of fun: I had an inner teenager moment during my Mischief at the Mütter Museum gig, singing along to my favorite song. (Note: I recycled my Weird Science costume from 2018 since I was playing to a room of fellow 80s enthusiasts who I knew would appreciate the reference).

So very excited to be back in the booth at The International Bar tonight for HAPPY HOUR! It always feels like a homecoming, namely because it was 3 years (and almost one month) ago that I had my first gig there. In my mind, at the time, I saw it as an isolated event that could *maybe* lead to a couple others. Fast forward to today and I’m super grateful for the community and awesome opportunities that have stemmed from that then-perceived one-time event, as well as the folks who were there from day one! 💝 If you’re in the neighborhood, stop thru for some delicious libations, tasty fare, and some retro jams to satisfy your soul.

It’s time once again for tonight’s return to the Great Circles Radio studio (from 7-8pm EDT) for this month’s edition of 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙮 𝙈𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙇𝙤𝙡𝙖 𝙆𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙨! Tonight’s theme is a long overdue tribute to the magic of Flyte Time (aka Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis), who—as of last year—had been writing/producing as a duo for 40 years!
