From the invitations to the dance floor, Nick Zataveski and Jean Scalan’s Stone Harbor wedding was inspired by the Jersey Shore.

Jean and Nick knew they wanted to experience the most special day in Stone Harbor, New Jersey. Since the couple—who met just after midnight on Jan. 1, 2020—spent their summers vacationing down the Jersey Shore with their families, there was no place better to start their own family. Jean and Nick played off the blues of the ocean with an entirely blue-themed wedding—from the invitations inspired by a watercolor version of a Gray Malin aerial photograph of Stone Harbor beaches to the bridesmaids’ dresses, florals, linens and even dance floor. How could I possibly portray Lauren and Lukas’ day in only ten images to those who were not there?

It was a celebration of unity and joy…dreams and connections…laughter and love…commitment and passion…and these feelings were shared by all who attended.
