Hello world -

I’ve been pretty absent in this space for awhile and felt the time has come to share a bit of an update on my photo page.

Getting on social media to air out my life is definitely not my fave thing to do, but my work IS personal and vulnerable, and at this point my work and photo business has been affected. The last 6 months (if I’m being honest - the last year and a half) have been incredibly difficult and painful in regards to my home life. To be brief and without going too much into detail, I had to move back home to NY in April and since then I have been working diligently to get back into some sort of stability and routine for my daughter and I. We’re getting there! But its SUCH a process to start life all over again. This separation journey and the grief that comes with it has been anything but simple, but I have sooo much to be grateful for. It has been my most creatively fulfilling year yet, I’ve connected with so many amazing couples, old friends, new friends, crazy cool people in the industry and exciting opportunities. We are held together by our loving community here and they have really uplifted us. We are happy and healthy, It’s just been a bit of an uphill battle to find solid ground ❤️

I really just wanted to get on here and say thank you to all of my absolutely amazing clients, friends and family who have been nothing but loving, supportive and patient during this life transition. Capturing your memories means the world to me. Looking forward to a fresh start and kicking off Kiara Love Photo with a healthy mindset.

A sweet baby-love moment 🕊

If you’re new here, you might not know that I used to be a family portrait photographer for 6 years. Capturing love, connection and kids just being kids is where it all began. This is where I found my joy for photography: slow and easy at-home sessions documenting family cuddles, running wild through a field at sunset, real belly laughs, tickles and nose kisses. Eventually, I found this same joy in weddings.

I came across these frames and realized that it’s been a few YEARS (😮) since I’ve offered family sessions regularly. I really miss it 🤍

Atsede + David at “The Farm”.
This was such a fulfilling + heartwarming engagement session. I left with tears in my eyes at how beautiful life can be, and where the universe planted me after so many years of trauma, healing and transformation. I found myself at a cabin in the woods, surrounded by golden trees and open fields and a full moon and pink skies with two absolutely gorgeous humans in love.

Grateful, grateful, grateful for this magic. 🪄🎞

Hello beautiful people!

I’m not so great at sharing my work on social media 🫣 but felt the time has come to share a little update/psa!

- My 2022 + 2023 wedding calendar is quickly filling up, and I’m so beyond grateful and excited to document all of your uniquely beautiful love stories! I‘ll be traveling quite a bit this summer and fall, but wanted to open a few dates for couples, engagements, creative portraits and intimate family sessions while I’m in Ithaca, NY from JULY 5th-13th 🤍 I may also open some dates in August!
