Our Story

Trinity Center for Urban Life (TCUL) is a non profit organization that provides a space for the community and responds to their needs by providing cultural events, educational opportunities, and neighborhood services.

We began as a group of concerned residents and members of Trinity Memorial Church to raise funds for the restoration and preservation of the neighborhood’s beloved beacon of spiritual and community engagement. With renewed vision, TCUL undertook fundraising efforts and a capital campaign to cooperatively reopen the doors to Trinity Memorial Church as a center for arts, cultures and education and spiritual enrichment, targeted toward the ever-changing and growing demographics of the surrounding area. TCUL offers a wide variety of arts and cultural programs, educational opportunities and neighborhood activities. Revenue generated from rentals directly supports our programming and the maintenance of our buildings. Each rental helps us to remain an important resource in our community. The rooms, including the beautiful Great Hall, rebuilt after the catastrophic fire in 1994, can be rented for gatherings of all sorts, from large parties to intimate recitals. Fully movable seating means that the space can be configured and decorated for many different events. Concerts, receptions, weddings, meetings, workshops, conferences, and celebrations occupy these gracious buildings. Visit us online (www.trinitycenterphiladelphia.org) or stop by for a visit. We located in the heart of of the city, right on the corner of 22nd & Spruce Streets. See you soon!
