Something I've been thinking about a lot during this busy season: the cost of capturing time.

The idea of saving every image suggests we’re afraid of losing time. That may be true, but if we aren’t truly engaging with those memories, does that time really matter? Furthermore, if we're missing out on moments, simply to engage with the past, are we doing ourselves more harm than good?

Stacy Leung is a long-time Muay Thai athlete and two-time breast cancer survivor who lives in Philadelphia. I photographed Leung for CURE Magazine, a publication shared in waiting rooms and doctors offices to inspire hope for cancer patients across the country.

Leung first battled cancer when she was 23 years old, and again in 2023. The story published this week and I'm sharing it in honor of breast cancer awareness month. You can read it via CURE https://www.curetoday.com/.
