Are you interested in being on a kids dance team? We are looking for new members for ages four through 10 to make up an elementary or a mini team level that goes through third grade. You have the option to try one class for free before committing, but you would need to do that by this week or next week at the latest, as we are trying to finalize our teams. We currently have everybody combined in one class right now until we pick up a few more members, and then we are hoping to split the teams. We would love to get some more middle school members as well, and we can do a high school team if there’s enough interest. The Dance Team practice is on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:25-5:40 pm for ages four through 10, and it goes up until 6:10 PM or middle school age and above. This is a short hip-hop routine that the elementary students learned in a free Dance Team class on September 23.
Free trial Dance Team class tomorrow, Wednesday, August 28, from 6:15- 7:45 PM at Dance With Me (132 S 17th St, PHILOMATH. This is open to anyone in elementary and middle school! No experience required! The coach, Cheyenne, will be teaching three short mini routines to give the dancers a sample of the kinds of things they would do for Dance Team this year. The routines are hip-hop, jazzy-pom, and contemporary for tomorrow.
Wear leggings and a fitted T-shirt, and your hair up and at least a ponytail. Bring a water bottle. Bring socks and clean tennis shoes. If you have dance shoes, like ballet slippers or jazz shoes, bring those as well.
Please text Brittney in advance to let her know that you are planning on attending. Invite friends, the more, the merrier! We are working on growing our teams for the 2024-2025 season.
