Made some new friends yesterday at the Verlo mattress store in Glendale (Verlo Mattress) where I learned the TRUTH about how mattresses are made! Jon and his wife Michelle, run a top notch operation and all the mattresses are hand made and custom to the buyer’s needs. The mattress actually unzips and you can adjust the firmness on your own or they’ll even come out and help get everything adjusted. Verlo is already a big name on the East coast and we’re finally starting to see them in Arizona. I’m thinking about replacing my old, but faithful mattress to see if my sleeping habits improve. 🤞🤞 If you’re in the need for a mattress, please visit Jon and Michelle at Verlo in Glendale!

Today is National BAGEL Day!!! If you didn’t know, I come from a long line of bakers and my family owned a bakery in Phoenix for over 30 years called, Karsh’s Bakery. After the business closed and I wasn’t able to get the bagels my parents made anymore, I had to start baking my own. Today, my homemade bagels are finally up to my high-quality standards and baking on the weekend has become a favorite pastime. Happy National Bagel Day!

While growing up in the 80’s, one of my favorite NES games was “Wizards & Warriors”. It was such a great game because even though it had levels that were annoyingly difficult, it also had a lot of areas that were simple. Of course, it never hurt that you were allowed to continue as many times as you needed. Sometimes the ‘low health’ music would make me crazy, but I realized while replaying this game that I enjoyed every bit of the nostalgia.
