One celebrated Hispanic tradition you will see at Somos Peoria is Ballet Folklórico, a dance style with as much complexity, variety, and history as the country of Mexico itself. Folklórico refers to many traditional dances from Mexico rather than one single style! Live performances by Ballet Folklórico Esto es Mexico will provide a special experience you’ll not want to miss. Come see these talented dancers demonstrate a colorful piece of their history on Saturday, Sept. 28 at Centennial Plaza (behind Peoria City Hall), 9875 N. 85th Avenue.

The Valley’s largest Hispanic Heritage Month celebration is just 1 WEEK away! Somos Peoria will take place on September 28 from 4-10:30pm, with a diverse sampling of Latin music genres. This year's event will take place at a new location, Centennial Plaza behind Peoria City Hall, 9875 N. 85th Avenue. In addition to musical entertainment, festivalgoers can enjoy an evening of traditional foods, beer and margaritas, arts and crafts vendors, and activities like Ballet Folklorico and Lucha Libre.
