This fall I've been blessed to be a part of a few non-profit tea fundraisers. Teach One to Lead One is one of my favorites - they are a community mentoring program making such a big difference for students. This is my third tea rental with them, and I love setting up and joining in their celebration.

Scones! I LOVE scones, almost more than dessert. When planning your tea party, wow your guests with creative flavors to match your tea party theme. Scones are a wonderful part of a tea party, both savory and sweet varieties! While British scones are simpler flavor, American versions are full of flavor combinations.

Savory scones I've made before are ham and cheese, cheddar and chive, or rosemary parmesan scones (my favorite). Sweet scone flavors are tempting with blueberry, lemon and raspberry (my favorite) or vanilla. Sweet scones can also be topped with lemon curd and Devonshire cream (try to make your own too).
