This place literally made my day. I moved to phoenix a couple of months ago and I just found the best puertorrican food I’ve ate outside of Puerto Rico, EVER. I am a born and raised puertorrican who is VERY VERY judgy about flavors, textures and AUTHENTICITY. This place literally makes you feel like you are back home. The place itself, the environment, the owners, the service offered… I had the Pizza Empanadilla and wow… I can’t even put into words how the first bite felt. After that, I ordered a Mofongo de Pollo with Caldito on the side…. Literally I was about to cry. 😭 One of the owners even brought me some pieces of Carne Frita so I could taste that too. It was beyond what I could’ve imagined. This is literally the best place ever. I can’t wait to go back and visit this place. 100% recommended!!!!!!!!!!!

Today our doors are closed, but our hearts are very full.

We want to take a moment to thank the people who make Phoenix Coquí feel like home every single day. Our team shows up with care, humor, patience, and pride. They look out for each other. They take care of our guests. They make our food with love.

If you’ve ever heard laughter or singing coming from our kitchen, that’s not an accident. That joy is part of the recipe, and it’s a big reason why the food tastes the way it does.

Restaurants are only walls and equipment without the people inside them. We’re endlessly grateful for this crew and the love they pour into what we do.

Familia, we get this question every December, and we get it. Pasteles by the dozen feel like home.

But here’s the deal. Pasteles are a labor of love. With a small team, it takes us a full day to make just enough for our Plato Navideño, and even then… we sell out each Friday.

So no dozens. No frozen packs. Just pasteles made with care, served fresh, only in our Plato Navideño, only on Fridays in December, and only while they last! [Available 12/19 and 12/26 only]
