You’ll likely spend at least an hour and a half on portraits on your wedding day. And that’s OK!

If you want to get to the party portion of your celebration more quickly, consider a first look! This will “front load” your portraits to before the ceremony so that you can spend less time after.

Alternatively, you can take many of your family photos and wedding party photos before the ceremony too!

One of the first things you’ll hear many wedding pros tell you to do when you first get engaged is to create a budget!

And while we agree, we also recognize this is a new experience for you and you may not even know where to begin. Or, if the numbers you think are realistic, actually are. But, you have to start somewhere!

We suggest you decide on an overall amount that you have to spend on your wedding. From there, create smaller budgets, such as for your florist and caterer.

We encourage you to also have a range, of high to low, for the top priority items on your list (venue, food, entertainment, planning, etc)!

Then, start researching vendors with those numbers to see if they’ll work for you vision.

If you get stuck, or simply need some reassurance for what to do, and when, we’re here to help!

✨ Research and Recommendations⁠
Start by asking friends, family, and recently married couples for recommendations. Read online reviews and check websites like The Knot and WeddingWire for trusted coordinators in your area. Personal recommendations and verified reviews provide an insight into the coordinator’s capabilities and reliability.⁠

✨Interview Multiple Candidates⁠
Don’t settle for the first coordinator you meet. Interview multiple candidates to compare their services, experience, and personalities. Prepare a list of questions to ask, such as their experience with your venue type or their contingency plans for unexpected issues.⁠

Softness and structure 💕 This romantic outdoor ceremony at the Four Seasons in Scottsdale was absolutely beautiful! The blush, mauve and pink with touches of cream and loads of greenery was the perfect romantic touch to this space.
