This venue, the vendors, that dress….. all perfection!! The Greenville Country Club is a gorgeous, old mansion with the most incredible gardens. The club staff were all a joy to work with. The vendors who helped curate and capture Emily & Luke’s wedding were spectacular! All around a wonderful experience! Congratulations Emily & Luke!!

Mother’s Day means so many things to so many people. Celebrating the strength and badassery that is giving life, nurturing life, celebrating one’s self in your own resilience of becoming/being a mom. Mother’s Day is also childlessness, missing our moms, struggling with illness, observing other’s joy when this might be a painful…full of anger, sadness, resentment…all the while wanting to ‘stay up beat and positive’ so that we do not put a damper on or take away another person’s joy. Today and all days, just know that I see you. I celebrate your joy and have compassion for your pain. Either way, I am holding space for you.

Our staff spotlight today is on Renae! AND IT JUST HAPPENS TO BE HER 50TH BIRTHDAY TODAY! So please take a moment and wish her well. Renae began her career at Phoenixville Hospital in 1998 as a social worker where she worked with former HCA ED, Tracy Shantz. Renae transitioned to an HCA employee in 2007 and worked full-time until 2009 when her daughter was born. She interviewed for the ED position when Tracy announced her retirement and was offered and accepted the position in June 2022. Renae is a lifelong resident of Phoenixville, where she lives with her husband, son, daughter and her two “babies”, an 8-year-old Boxer and 1-year-old Miniature Poodle. If asked what she loves most in life, her response is “family, traveling, the beach, art projects, gardening and my dogs.” Renae is well loved in the community and is an incredible leader in and out of the office. Her beautiful smile and witty personality brightens every day! No matter where Renae is or goes, she will always run into someone she knows which proves an asset in running a non-profit.

Flowers from my childhood home. I have so many memories of being in the garden with my mom and dad. Weeding was a ‘chore’ of sorts, but secretly I have always loved it. It always amazes me the amount of things I missed or did not appreciate. Take daffodils for instance. To me they always felt too happy. So sunny and most definitely an inspiration for Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. That movie has always kind of creeped me out. Daffodils also reminded me of church - a place I always felt dragged to. It was a place that often left me questioning everything. But, somewhere along the line, those feelings changed…about daffodils, I mean. Discovering all of the different varieties and their complexities have ignited a sense of not only peace, but joy in me. They remind me of why I love what I do. Most importantly, they remind me of family. When I think about my family- my parents in particular - I reflect on moments I have had with them in their gardens. A quiet meditative state which I have only begun to understand in recent years. Observing them retreating to the garden when things were really tough - a method of healing I have adopted. Through all of life’s challenges and pain they have experienced, they turned their suffering into something beautiful. A place that welcomes all creatures (including humans). Most notably to me is their back patio. It is an oasis and refuge filled with lush ferns, lilies, oak leaf hydrangea, tulips, and yes, daffodils. I love my parents. It is a privilege to be their daughter. I am grateful for every moment I have spent and will spend with them in their gardens.

Working weddings downtown can be stressful. The size or layouts of venues are usually challenging and require more staff…more of everything, really. Sometimes there are no elevators for a three story walk up. And the parking!! That is just one of many issues vendors face. My business is small and frankly, I like it that way. It makes everything more personal and allows me a hand in every in everything we do. My point in saying all of this is that there is way more to an Event Florist’s job that clients do not see. *This is why we charge what we do. Cost of the flowers plus our markup - which has to cover design time and materials, transportation costs, staff, delivery, setup, and clean up. Rereading this list, it doesn’t come close to doing the amount of work justice. (Flower friends out there, can I get a What What?!) Even though Philly weddings are a ‘involved’ (to say the least), we will never stop doing them because we love seeing how happy couples are in these unique and sometimes historical settings. Our flowers are apart of that experience. This particular wedding (featured above) was no exception. We built two canopies just for this couple! One 16 feet and one 18 feet!! To the couples we work with and the city of Philadelphia, we love you and yes, we accept your challenges. 😎♥️💪🏻

Despite the fact that seasonal flowers are limited, I love a winter wedding. The scent and textures of evergreens…it’s hard to not feel nostalgic. Playing in the snow, decorating the tree, my mom’s press cookies in vibrant green and red. All of it gives me a cozy feeling. Add in a winter wedding with all that joy and I am feeling the love all around! ❄️ ⛄️ ❄️

Getting (or staying) weird on the job! 🤪 this is my “I just made my first foam free, floral burrito!! Weee!” I honestly felt so much joy when designing this piece. I was in my groove, singing a happy song, giving myself a high five for showing up to new challenges. In the coming year, I wish for you to not be afraid, trust your instincts and show yourself LOVE. You are WORTHY!!

In the morning when we arrive, Kong doesn’t even get up to greet us anymore💔

He seems so defeated that shelter life is his actual only life.

Kong is a 145lb Anatolian Shepherd who has called the shelter home for two years now. He can’t live with other animals at this time, but is wonderful with humans and is such a gentle giant with his people friends. He is hoping to find a home with XL breed experience and a fenced in yard.

If you can help him, please contact us. This big guy needs to go HOME.

Hello there! My name is Sarah Graham and I am Natural Florals. What can I say? I have loved nature and all things natural from a young age. Growing up swinging from trees, building forts and harvesting fresh food and flowers from my family’s land is what continues to fuel that love. As a young entrepreneur, I enjoy sharing that love through my designs. So, come fall in love with me!
