Long time no hear?!? I know, right!! I’ve missed doing weddings. The big, the beautiful, the small, the simple, the elegant. Each and every cake was special. It’s crazy to think we have been in the business for nearly 20 year (nearly😉). The story had detours and road blocks. Hurdles and milestones. And successes, many happy and beautiful successes. I dreamed of a store front, started teaching with the anticipation of a 10 year plan. At 10 years I’d “retire” and open a brick and mortar. It just so happened, the plan worked! Our dream …and took all the hours we had. I definitely didn’t do it alone because alone it wouldn’t have been possible. It took relying on my village. Thankful and grateful just do not come close. But here we are! Lessons have been learned. Pivoting has happened. Growing and experiencing. And we just keep swimming. I miss doing all of those beautiful things, the detailed things and the feeling of accomplishment that came with it too. But I also like that on the weekends I get to sleep about 5 whole hours most nights. I make it to ball games and some races and most birthdays and dinner too . I’ve learned that pivoting, even if it’s driven by a pandemic, isn’t horrible. And now ready to bring on the wedding orders. So some exciting news! We have made it possible that all of our best and most popular wedding cake options are available to order on our coffee shop site! Yea, we need some notice, but just a week minimum.
