The next few months are packed full of Every Event Emcee- Kelle Daggett Perry engagements - and I’m so excited! The Mountaineer Folk Festival at Fall Creek Falls is coming up in a couple of weeks. And the events listed in Pikeville TN will be at the Nine Mile Bluegrass Festival and Edmons Bluegrass & Music Barn! The Boxcar Pinion Memorial Bluegrass Festival is coming up in November in my hometown of Chickamauga GA!

I‘m broadening my horizons and will be the Master of Ceremonies at my first wedding in October!

Bluegrass season is in full swing and I am so excited to be the Emcee for several upcoming events in June! Kicking off the month with 38 Annual Dunlap Coke Ovens Bluegrass Festival in beautiful Dunlap TN! Then, traveling up 111 to Livingston TN for PIONEER DAYS 2024 on June 15. And rounding out the month at Edmons Bluegrass & Music Barn for the Nine Mile Bluegrass Festival on June 21-22! So much bluegrass and fellowship with friends- and I’m honored to be the voice of these fine events!

Edmons Bluegrass Music and Barn in Pikeville, TN

◦ $5 Admission - All proceeds go to the Edmons Bluegrass Barn Improvement Fund
◦ Sign up begins at noon (all times central time zone)
◦ At 1pm, draw to compose the bands who will compete
◦ Potluck all day long! Bring your favorite dishes to share with everyone

What is a bluegrass scramble?

All participants will enter the contest by placing their name in the “bucket” for their preferred instrument to play that day. Note for Multi-instrumentalists

We will draw to compose the bands which will be created.

Once the bands are formed, they will have 1 hour to practice and all bands will report back to the barn after the 1 hour practice limit. We will have some activities for the crowd during the practice time while we wait for the show to begin.

Each band will be performing 3-4 songs (determined based on the number of bands and time), one will be an instrumental and come up with a clever name for the band also.

Bands will perform in the order they were chosen.

After all bands have competed, the crowd will vote for the trophy categories and we will hold the award ceremonies.
