Besides the competition, the barbecue festival offers many activities for the entire family including an amateur rib cook-off, outdoor expo, grilling

On this day in 1955, Blues Hog founder and BBQ legend, Bill Arnold was born. While we sadly lost Bill in 2021, he will forever be the heart and soul of Blues Hog Nation. In September, he was finally inducted into the BBQ Hall of Fame at The American Royal for his contributions to the world of BBQ. His charisma, ingenuity, and generosity set the tone for what the BBQ community is all about: embracing family and friends and promoting the enjoyment of barbecue. Today we remember him for all that he was - loving father, mentor, veteran, and true BBQ legend! Happy Birthday Bill.

Congratulations to our good friend Darren Warth for his induction into the BBQ Hall of Fame. His team, Smokey D’s BBQ, was our grand champion in Laughlin, Nevada and also the first team to win a Chevy Camaro from us.

Next up, we are excited to recognize Iowa's Smokey D's BBQ as our next team recipient for the 2025 KCBS Hall of Fame! 🔥
