1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread chopped pecans evenly.
2. In a saucepan, melt butter, sugar, and salt. Stir constantly over medium heat until it becomes a dark amber color.
3. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla.
4. Quickly pour the toffee over the pecans. Spread evenly.
5. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Let them melt, then spread evenly.
6. Refrigerate until set. Break into pieces.
