Marti's Cakes & Catering Creating Your Food Dreams for your event to be Talk worthy During high school, Marti continued baking and began selling pound cakes and layer cakes.

Marti’s Cake Company was created from love and a passion for cooking that began developing at the age of four. While spending time in the kitchen with her grandmothers, Marti’s love for cooking grew into a passion and the desire to become a chef. During her teenage years, Marti improved her cooking skills by learning to make classic dishes such as chicken and dumplings and baking homemade breads.

In 2008, Marti graduated from Fullington Academy and began working on her Associate’s degree in Business at Middle Georgia College. While in college, Marti continued to sell cakes to the public. Marti continued to grow in her pastry work while completing her Bachelor’s of Business Degree at Georgia Southern University. In pursuit of achieving her childhood dream of becoming a chef, Marti continued her education at Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, North Carolina, by completing the Pasty Arts program. While in the pastry program, Marti worked under the tutelage of the programs renowned chefs in breads, pastries, cakes, and several of pastries specialties. Following graduation, Marti interned at the world renowned five-star Sea Island Resort.

Just incase you don’t follow my personal page, We have added two new tiny employees to the team. I am so thankful for my other employees who have stepped up and ran the ship while I became a mom! Our whole adoption journey has been crazy but I could not done with with out my work team. They have heard the positives, negatives and just plan out screams while going through all of this for the last four years. I am so blessed for family friends and co-workers.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of cooking for Farm Bureau Bibb county Spring Blessing of the crops. Growing up in the farm community I love being able to do anything for farmers! All the produce, meat, and condiment were donated by Georgia Grown Farm Bureau members. It is always a blessing to cook for people but especially those who are the reason we have food on our tables and clothes on our back 🚜

Today I finished our month long of super crazy! In the past three weeks we have cooked 72 ham halves, 30ish turkeys, 245 pecan bars, 86-6oz cheese straws, 65 cornbread dressing, 4 boxes of bacon for candied bacon and more plus we have catered three UGA tailgates, and was at Mistletoe Market!

Now to get ready for Christmas! We only have a few dates let on the calendar for parties so book soon ! We want to thank our clients for all that y’all do to keep us busy!
