WEDDING RSVP ETIQUETTE-

Unless you have planned a wedding, you probably don’t realize these things - so here ya go! Now you know…

1. RSVP before the deadline (yes and no)
2. Only the people the invite is addressed to are invited
3. Do not assume your kids can come — if it doesn’t say “and family”, they have not been included in the count so you should find a sitter
4. It is not ok to RSVP with 8 names to an invite with 2 names (yes people do that)
5. Brides/grooms have a budget and they invite accordingly
7. Buildings have limits that must be adhered to (refer to above)
8. Do not just show up uninvited (again refer to above)

As my daughter once said, “They better pack a lawn chair and a Pop-tart if they just show up!” 🤣🤣🤣

Such an AMAZING night for Slaybelles at HRL for their first “From the Bayou to Buckeye”Event. Slaybelles served up a BRAND NEW, never before served, dish tonight…Shrimp Pirogue. It’s a delicate blend of a cream sauce, shrimp, sausage, and the Cajun holy trinity all served over a slice of French Bread. It was a hit, and by popular vote it will be added to our menu!!🎊😃 It was a night of food, fun, music and fellowship for ALL ages. We are so blessed to live in such a great community that can come together and support each other. 🥰🥰🥰 Thank you HRL for the invitation and opportunity to be part of this! GREAT JOB Paula Henry, Emily Woods, and everyone at HRL who made it possible. Slaybelles looks forward to the next one !🥰🥰🥰

A girl can dream! 🤣🤣🤣 VERY eventful day today!!
Shopped to feed 250 this weekend (with a precious 2 year old granddaughter, I might add), toured a venue, unloaded everything we bought, prepped food for the weekend events, visited our CPA, installed lights in our newly remodeled catering trailer, bought a new pool liner, and BOUGHT A SUBURBAN!!😃 I AM WHIPPED!!

BOOK YOUR CATERER NOW, too! 😃 We seem to be forgotten. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ve had to turn down 7 weddings this year due to brides/moms waiting and trying to book within THIS year! 😵 Book your caterer the same week you book your venue! Caterers book up quick due to us cooking for events other than just weddings. I’m now taking bookings for 2024. I have 3 booked already! (So blessed!) So give me a call for your 2024 wedding! Pans #1 and #2 of cornbread for dressing is done! #3 is in the oven. This might be my MOST favorite dish that I make. It’s all because of the memories that goes along with it. 🥰 My Grandma Bernice taught me how to make dressing on Thanksgiving, 20 years ago! Little did I know it would be her last with us. She was such a blessing to our family. It’s hard to believe that she could NOT cook AT ALL when she got married! 😜
I’ll use chicken for these, but she always used ducks that my grandpa Curtis or my cousins would kill off of Catahoula Lake. Best memories ever!!
I’ll use duck for the one I’m keeping for use! 🥰 Happy Thanksgiving y’all!! 🦃🍽

Thanksgiving will soon be upon us!! 🦃 And we’ve had some request! Sooo…Slaybelles Catering is going to try something new this year!😃We’re now taking orders for our ever-so-popular Savory Green Beans and chicken filled Cornbread Dressing (it’s my Grandmaw Bernice’s recipe🥰)and Boston Butt
You can order half pans or full pans of each.
Half pans: 15 - 3/4 cup servings or 25 - 1/2 cup servings
Full pans: 30 to 50 servings based on the same measurements.
•Green Beans
1/2 pan = $30
Full pan= $55

•Dressing
1/2 pan = $45
Full pan = $80

•Boston Butt = $40 (feeds 12-15)

•Holiday Combo: 1/2 pan each of green beans and dressing and 1 Boston Butt = $105

We’re trying this out on a small scale this year. So, we will take the first 6 orders placed by MONDAY, NOVEMBER 14th. Orders will need to be picked up Wednesday 11/23 by 6:00 pm. Please private message us on Messenger with your order. We except Venmo, cash app, or Square. Must pay when order is placed.

It was a GORGEOUS wedding reception with AMAZING God given weather at Toupon Lodge with Lindzay Newcomb ‘s Where Wishes Come True!!! Can’t say enough about this sweet family that will always have a special place in my heart ( Sonia Wiley Gremillion ).

We provided our full service Set-up, Sweetheart Table Service, Cake Cutting Service for both cakes and our Clean-up & Care Service for this reception. We pride ourselves on making it as “worry free” as possible!! 🥰

Cooked up a few pounds of fresh shrimp this Labor Day. Spent an AMAZING day with family and friends. They were our Guinea pigs for a new appetizer recipe. Buttered Creole Shrimp! YUM!🦐 DEFINITELY KETO FRIENDLY 😜🤣😍

We recently got the chance to set and serve at the VERY UNIQUE location of the Southern Heritage Museum. It turned out BEAUTIFUL!😍😍😍.
This weekend (Sunday, April 24th) we’ll be at the 2022 Wedding Expo and Bride Wars hosted by Timeless Events by Amy and Melady House. This is being held at the Randolph Riverfront Center in Alexandria, LA. The event starts @ 2:00 with LOTS of giveaways for brides. Slaybelles Catering will be giving away $200 in free services for brides who book at this event!!🤩🤩🤩 We’ll also be giving away free food samples of some of our most popular dishes!!😜 So come out and find us! Well…here it is! Our 3rd event for the weekend and our final event at Bayou Haven for 2021. It was a true joy! So many laughs and so much fun with our Slaybelles crew.!😂 Congratulations to the happy couple, Mr. & Mrs. Howell!💕And thank y’all for letting us make your day delicious with our main dishes of gumbo, beef roast and a special request for black-eyed pea caviar! AMAZING night at Bayou Haven last night for event #2 this weekend! 💕 Many thanks to the Tam/Jones family. They made the memories, while we made the meal!! We were so grateful to be part of this special event of great families and wonderful people. Many thanks to the sweet compliments on the food!
