My great grandmother was a skilled pie maker. She taught my mother her technique and recipe for making a perfect pie crust - delicious and flaky.

HandHeld Kitchen will be making some moves in the coming weeks! Egg and cheese sandwich with our Pastrami Bacon anyone? Philly style roast pork straight outta my old stompin grounds? We're planning some pop ups and farmer's market appearances this summer! In preparation for that, we will be winding down the Family Meal edition of HandHeld.
We'll be delivering family meals on 5/17 and 5/24. If you have any favorites, let us know and we'll try to fit them in.
We will cap it off with a special Sunday delivery with all the fixins for a Memorial Day BBQ, including my mom's pie!
It has been a pleasure cooking family style for you. I hope it was helpful, and allowed for some less hectic family dinners.

And thank you right back! It has been a pleasure cooking for my neighbors in and around Richmond. I hope to see you all soon in person on that beautiful garden patio for drinks and HandHeld Sandwiches!

Today is our last Why Cook Wednesday and we just wanted to thank everyone that participated in them. Thank you for supporting your local businesses and chefs. We also wanted to send a special thanks to our local chefs that prepared so many amazing dinners that we were able to pair our cocktails with. THANK YOU!!

We are excited about new pop-up opportunities that will be coming up in the next few weeks with our local food partners, so keep an eye out.

Kalua Pork! No, I'm not digging an imu in the production kitchen. I asked, they said no; again. I'll keep trying to wear them down, but in the meantime, you should try our above ground version. Pork shoulder gets cured in hawaiian sea salt and hickory smoke, then cooks slowly for hours with sweet onions in a banana leaf. Served plate lunch style this week with heirloom rice, mac salad, and sweet and sour slaw. Get your !
