…Latest Captain Cow News:
• The Alpine Inn has not allowed amplified music for years until we showed what great talent and a respect for amplifier gain set at eleven on a Marshall stack is really all about. They are so pleased with the quality performances, and especially all the positive comments by the local folks, that we are again invited back for “Sing Out Sundays” in this year of our Captain, two thousand and twelve.
We have selected the last Sunday in
May (5/27)
June (6/24)
July (7/29)
August (8/26)
and
September (9/30)
to return to the Alpine for more good old timey get togethers. It'll be an open mic in the woods kind of affair. A full on PA system and colorful stagings. So if you are up for it, just be there on Sunday, May 27, around noon/1 pm and you may sing and play and connect with our musical family of fun.
The Alpine Inn is at 3915 Alpine Rd, Menlo Park, CA 94028
(650) 854-4004, right off hiway 280.

Join Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts for live screen printing, Mixcoatl Anahuac Aztec Dancers, and one of my favorite Bay Area cumbia leaders, TOKESON! Also, check out Mission Gráfica in the streets! Bring a light-colored t-shirt to get a free silkscreened Mission-inspired image.
• I’m going up to the Yosemite high country soon (I have a free pass now) for some music round the fire. Including health, high intensity recreational activity and all the wondrous people orbiting nearby, sometimes life can be a gas, when I’m 64. WHEW 64!!
peace and love,
