Today, we learn that not all gifts are materialistic in the season of giving joy. This holiday season, we are happy to share that we hired one of our very own, Michael Ciaccio, for the Professional Conference Center at ESCNJ! Michael was a past participant in our adult work transitions group, Pathways to Adult Living program (PAL).

Delivering client needs and expectations is an essential component of services from the Professional Conference Center at ESCNJ. Swipe to see how we utilize our technology and facility space for the New Jersey Deaf meeting!

One key takeaway from the event is mirroring conversations for both audiences, members of hearing and hard of hearing. In the video clips, we see that sometimes the distance makes it hard to see the discussion, so a stenographer types the conversation out, along with an ASL signer repeating the conversation facing towards the panel members, but most importantly, to see what questions the moderators are asking. It is fascinating to see how different forms of dialogue unite those in one space.

What would be your elevator pitch? The Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce hosts a monthly breakfast networking event. This past September, we got to be the hosts alongside our partnered caterer, The Food Architects! Who displayed the best of the best on their menu.

During the event, chamber members are given a number and have to find the other person with that matching number; they then introduce each other and their occupations, giving a 30-second speech on what they can do to help other businesses. Hosting this event is excellent because inviting chamber members to see our space will help further build partnerships with local companies in Middlesex County.

It was a beautiful evening with many smiles from families and friends, watching their graduate accept a well deserved certificate in a very responsible field.
