You ever have one of those moments where you KNOW you recognize someone, but the context is throwing you off?? This is Caleb, the officiant for the wedding I’m tag-teaming with DJ Jimmy Mac this weekend… and it took the full rehearsal yesterday, and sound check today, to remember how we know each other… we’re NEXT DOOR NEIGHBORS!!! 😂

We both agreed, our wives are gonna be humiliated … is this a guy thing??? 😝

Yesterday was another “personal” one! My wife and I spent our 11th wedding anniversary celebrating with good friends who renewed their 5-month-old vows! And of course, I brought some music and a photobooth along ☺️ Thank you both for having us as part of your special day!

Wedding season is officially underway, kicking off with a beautiful party at Buhl Park (congrats to Mel and Dave!)
And it just so happened to be days after the 20th anniversary of my first gig. Our town had just put in a new PA system at the ballpark, and my dad, being the little league commissioner, let me plug in my portable CD player and my brother’s boom box for some background music. I don’t have any photos of that day, but here are a couple from a year later at the same park, after dad helped me save up to buy my own gear.

As we wrap up Women’s History Month, I gotta give some love to a woman who’s making history here in Pittsburgh every day! My wife, Andrea, has been teaching at area high schools for over a decade. She’s also a total badass who put herself through physical and emotional hell to have our 2-year-old son, our angel baby, and our soon-to-be-born daughter! She’s my sounding board, my voice of reason, and my rock. Let’s make some noise for her! 😃🥰

Wedding season is officially underway at Party It Up Pittsburgh! Spent yesterday providing ceremony sound at the Sunset Room in Elizabeth. My good buddy DJ Jimmy Mac took over & crushed the reception as always! Lots of great takeaways from this event. Remember that you’re never too old or seasoned at your craft to learn something new!

Pro tip: What to do when you're just starting as a DJ, and can't afford real prizes for the town carnival's potato sack race. You show up with a paper plate and a can of whipped cream... and you leave with a little less dignity. 😆
