If there’s one thing that makes me twitch, it’s incorrect grammar on wedding invitations. And one of the biggest offenders? “Kindly RSVP.”

Did you know that RSVP comes from the French phrase répondez s’il vous plaît, which literally means “please respond”? So when you write “kindly RSVP,” you’re actually saying “kindly please respond.” (Cue the eye twitch.)

The correct way to word your response card? Stick with a simple “RSVP” or “kindly respond.”

Our Story

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, but my design studio is the place I call home. My well-laid plans to use my Communications and Rhetorical Studies and Multimedia degree for a career in advertising were derailed by my love of art and design. Blush Paper Co. was founded in 2007. Even after all these years, I still fawn over textured paper, hand-dyed ribbon, and foil lettering.

Along with watercoloring and illustrating, I’ve also fine-tuned the art of storytelling. I meet with couples to learn their unique love story. I want to know about your family’s time-honored traditions and your love for classic design. I specialize in weaving those very personal details into each piece of your wedding stationery. I want your invitation suite to create an unforgettable first impression for your guests and to become a beloved heirloom for your grandchildren.

My husband Ben and I are still adding new adventures to our own love story, and our two girls have been the best chapters yet.
