Did you know we photograph families?
It’s honestly one of our favorite things. The laughter, the connection, the little in-between moments that make your story yours, hit even harder the we turn those memories into artwork for your walls. This fall has been incredible, let’s plan your family session while the colors last!

As a photographer, sitting down with small business owners is a constant reminder that we’re all working to carve out our own space.

Today I was going through the archives and came across some portraits I made while recording what was at one point going to be a podcast talking with local creatives- Maybe it'll get published one day, but until then...

Photojournalist Swensen has spent the past few years documenting rural life in Kentucky capturing families raising children, farmers growing crops, and artists shaping culture.

simmons has dedicated years to promoting the wines and spirits of Pennsylvania makers. His path hasn’t been traditional. Instead, he’s focused on welcoming the public in, sharing stories, and creating experiences that turn neighbors into champions of local products.

Kelly, a Pittsburgh based commercial photographer, pours his energy into every stage of the creative process. From pre-shoot collaboration to the production itself and into post-shoot polish, his enthusiasm reminds you that this work is more than advertising, it’s collaboration, vision, and passion in action.

These stories were originally meant to be part of a Western PA creative podcast, which may still happen one day.

Are you a small business owner, lets work together and help you tell your story.

Heading into the backyard for some “camping” this weekend taught us a few things ⛺✨
🌙 Camp time feels different than home time, Hadley wanted us all in, no running inside.
🍕 Letting her pick “her ideas” (Jioio’s pizza & s’mores) made the night even more special.
❤️ The real magic wasn’t the tent or fire, it was simply being together, without distractions.
Sometimes the backyard is all you need for a quick adventure.

If you are preparing to follow UTMB Mont-Blanc this weekend, be sure to follow Rosie Nanette Gagnon. Rosie is an amazing athlete who is running 100 100mile runs to raise awareness around Veteran Su***de. For Rosie, its not just a run, its a deeply personal mission to remember her son Dexter, and the "22 to many", soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines, who take their lives each day-

Rosie is close to finishing her 100- and its been amazing to watch her take on some absolutely brutal events, as well as just take off and run her own "long runs" with such purpose- This is gonna be a lot steeper than her Warrior 100 with wear blue: run to remember in DC, but I cant wait to watch her finish-

It’s truly a privilege to be trusted by parents to photograph big moments in their families lives. Kayleigh and I have a shared love of running and connected over her love of cross country and pushing herself as a member of the Pine Richland XC team. For business owners, a portrait is more than just a picture—it’s your first impression. It’s the “Hi, nice to meet you” and the handshake before words are even spoken. A great portrait gives people a glimpse of who you are, the passion behind your business, and the story that sets you apart.

When I walked into Bo podcast studio, I could see he understood this. His walls were lined with artwork and photos—tangible reminders of a life built on choosing his own adventure. Eric is an entrepreneur who has launched multiple successful businesses, from building one of the largest ebay guitar stores (where he worked with of KISS), to hosting radio shows, and now thriving in real estate. His portraits don’t just show a face, they tell the story of resilience, creativity, and adventure.

That’s what I love about photographing entrepreneurs like Eric. A portrait isn’t just about looking polished—it’s about capturing the essence of what drives you so your clients, colleagues, and community can connect with you. Whether it’s on your website, LinkedIn, or social media, the right portrait builds trust and creates connection.

I don’t post nearly enough, I shoot mostly for my clients and once I’ve delivered photos to them, I wait to see them in the wild. I’ve got loads of family photos that need printed, framed and books created from. But as I reflect back on this past Fathers Day, I’m pretty thankful for my dad and who he’s helped me become. These are photos from our last father son trip to Montana back in the Fall of 2023. Before that it was probably our week long trip through Ireland and Scotland somewhere around 2002. We used to take father son trips all the time when I was younger and riding horses, now we have to find the time to just sit together more often. .speicher I’m glad to be your son.

Saturday was my third time running the Laurel Highlands Ultra, and my first time racing the 50K- it wasnt exactly what I had planned, I wanted my 3rd 70miler, but lack of training and a knee injury kept me from pushing as hard as I wanted, and kept me from running for nearly 3 weeks- but we got out there and it was a blast. Harder than I remember, but it always is- the lack of training made picking my feet up high enough to not trip, fairly difficult and I ate dirt a few times. The first fall left my big toe with what feels like a fracture or very bad bruise- but we got it done. It's hard to feel excited about it when my goal was the full 70, but I adjusted goals and distance, and finished in around 6:50, the same as Hyner.

Great job volunteers, Jim Paul and Dann LG, and thanks Ron Goat Factory Media for the photos-

50K is a fun distance- and I was very glad I was not going the whole way- somehow a not hot day got vey warm and threw a wrench into a lot of strong runners plans. now to prep for the next thing later this year

A few times a year I have the privilege to work with my friends ofer at as they serve the Gold Star Family community by honoring the sacrifices of those who have served our nation. It’s a small but ever growing number of families that live with that honor, but their loved ones are not forgotten, and it’s tributes like the Blue Mile that are so powerful.

A few times each year, 10 to 12 strangers, all who have lost a loved one who served, sign up to toe the line at a marathon, and the team at helps to train them, encourage them, and sponsor an amazing weekend, where these strangers gain a new community. It’s truly an honor to witness this weekend and document their race.

It’s a huge amount of work to put on these weekend tributes, and it’s made possible by the small staff and huge team of volunteers, and the generous sponsors who commit to making these events happen.

Here is a small selection of photos from marathon in Fort Worth, TX just a few weeks ago.
