2022 has been pretty rough on me, honestly, and I’m happy to be ending it on a high note this weekend. I want to thank you all for sticking with me this year. To my brides and grooms: I’ll never be able to express properly how much and what exactly it’s meant that you chose me. Thank you, truly. To my local friends who clambered each week to get on my dahlia list: you gave purpose to my days and meaning to all the backbreaking hours in the garden. Thank you! (I really did sell just about every stem this season, guys!) To everybody who bought flowers or shared a post or spoke well of my work or recommended me to a friend: you’ve transformed what started out six years ago as a little side gig into a full-blown business and I couldn’t be more grateful. To my family and friends (a group to which I’ve made substantial additions this year!): you’ve got my whole heart, and I love you so much. My wish for 2023–for all of us—is peace. Cheers! ❤️

My first royal wedding! For realsies, though: how totally regal are Kelsey and Dan? They were radiant and so happy on their wedding day, and I’m beyond honored to have been a part of the team that breathed life into this dreamy and very special occasion.

Tiffany and Matt are an actual couple—NOT models—I swear! Aren’t they so beautiful?!? They had such a lovely wedding at this fall, full of sweet personal touches and LOTS of candlelight, which definitely goes a long way in terms of upping the magic quotient, I think. Lighting really does make such a big impact (n.b. the work of in the tent! Whew!) 2023 brides: I’m resting up for next season. It’s gonna be special. 🤯

What should you do when one of your very favorite living musicians unexpectedly photographs you and your friends, and in so doing captures something so meaningful that revisiting the image conjures completely the significance of the experience—of every detail of that moment in time? What do you actually do? You don’t equivocate! You call it what it is—art!—and you frame that masterpiece! How cool will this thing be in fifty years?!? Instagram will be long dead, and so will I. will be an old man, and if he’s turned out well (🙏🏻), this incredible relic will be hangin on his wall. Thank you for this and for all the work you share with fans, and thank you for the roaring good times. Thanks, friends (pictured and not), for helping and me raise this kid!❤️
