Why choose Adam Liu’s online cello workshop?
1. Recognized by students as My Favorite Teacher, Adam specializes in teaching with patience and love. Winter trip to China (3)
12/20/2019 Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Assistant Principal Cellist Adam Liu worked with Duquesne University Professor/Conductor Robert Cameron at the Wuhan China Golden Bell Concert Hall, successfully performing a Dvorak Cello Concerto. The concert hall’s 600+ seats were fully packed. Many audience members who had never gone to a symphony concert before were saying that they never knew that cello could be this beautiful and amazing! Some musicians said the performance was so touching that they almost cried with tears. They loved this concerto and as well as Adam’s playing. The students and teachers of the Wuhan Conservatory very much appreciated Adam’s performance and teaching. The number one Wuhan newspaper Changjiang Daily interviewed Adam Liu, reporting on this concert and with comments on his Wuhan trip. The article reports that Adam Liu brought valuable contributions to Wuhan music education and cultural exchange.

10/13/2019

10/9/2019 7:30pm, Bach Suite 2, 5, 6 was beautifully played by Cleveland Symphony Principal Cellist Mark Kosower, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Cellists Alexandra Lee and Assistant Principal Cellist Adam Liu. The Music Hall was so crammed that we could hardly find any empty seats.
Mark Kosower revised a violin piece to be playable on a cello - Violin Partita No. 3 in E Major. His amazing technique brought us a very different experience.
Adam Liu's Bach Suite 6 swept up a sea of emotions through the audience. We felt so many different emotions and colors drifting past our ears like a gentle breeze. Some people in the audience even expressed that they felt like they were dancing with the cello.
Congratulations to Duquesne University The Mary Pappert School of Music for the successful Bach Series Concert. Many thanks to the Dean David Allen Wehr and the Director Steve Groves. You made our Wednesday Night.
