Hi Everyone,
Here are some things going on in AHYP land.
Tomorrow is our February First Friday event. We'll have appetizers available, $3 Miller Lites, and a special on Rye Old Fashioneds. The Pens game will also be on the television and I'll be wearing a Pens jersey. I only note this so you don't think Mario Lemieux himself has entered the AHYP, alas, it is only me. Back to the point, you should come out and have a drink and a bite to eat. As with all First Friday events, this is open to members and non-members, so bring some friends along!
The Pittsburgh Committee on Foreign Relations will be here on Tuesday, February 18th. The subject of the talk that night is Ukraine and European Security and the featured speaker is Nikolas Gvosdev. I've attached a flyer to this email so you can see the details.
What are you doing on Wednesday, February 19th for lunch? Your answer should be "Well, Dave, I'm coming down to the member lunch at that AHYP Club." We are trying to start a monthly lunch for club members. This one will take place at noon on the 19th and feature pot roast with onions and carrots, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, and salad. The cost is $20. Immediate past President Wes Posvar invites you to take a seat at the stammtisch where important matters will most certainly be discussed! If you're interested in attending, please let me know by Wednesday, February 12th at noon. Please email or call me if interested. [email protected] or 412.281.5858
Our dinner theater presentation of Mobsters, Molls and Marinara is open to everyone and is selling well. The dinner and show will be on Friday, February 28th. $65 gets you dinner, show and a drink ticket. Tickets are on sale until February 20th and you can purchase them HERE: https://lnkd.in/e4RqWfkp
Be forewarned that they may (50-50 chance) sell out before then, so if you're thinking of pulling the trigger (mobsters, get it?), do so soon.
Swartz in the City returns on Thursday, March 13th at 530pm. Featured startups include Headstrait Labs and Sabana. The details are attached to this email and you can register for the event HERE:
