Chef Anthony Rowe here, born in Kingston, Jamaica in early October - libra of course. My story begins while moving around throughout my childhood, from living with my dad in Jamaica, then my mom in New York and Massachusetts, and then finally settling in Pennsylvania. I always had this love for cooking from which I inherited from my family, especially my grandmother. Although I didn't have a great
start in life while running the streets and being incarcerated multiple times, I knew there was more for me. I found myself in a half way house where I was alone, had no family and all I had to my name was my cooking ability. I started working in Philadelphia at local restaurants, pizza shops, and eventually enrolled in a culinary program for felons. This was the best decision for me and it lead to me growing as an adult and improving my culinary skills. I graduated in the top 10% of my class and was awarded the perfect attendance award. From there, I went to work for the Ritz Carlton hotel in Philadelphia. After two years at the Ritz Carlton hotel I started my own catering business, 3LCatering. I wanted to do something in my life that I could call my own, so I took a leap of faith in myself which lead me to becoming the business owner and chef I am today. I settled down in Allentown, PA and found a business partner who had the abilities to help me and my business get to the next level. I started doing private events and making pastries while getting all the proper business licenses needed to expand my company. We are currently doing 3 to 4 events a month and our sauces are selling and driving brand recognition.
3LCatering which stands for Laugh, Love, Live which we infuse into every experience through every bite of our food.
