The history of The Georgetown Centre begins with the opening
of The Yorkshire Inn Restaurant in 1970. Founded by Les George and his
son, Les George, Jr.; The Yorkshire Inn was well known in the Pittsburgh
area for quality food and service at reasonable prices. On Easter Day 1980
The Yorkshire Inn was destroyed by fire. In October of that same year
The Yorkshire Inn reopened at the site now occupie

d by Hoss’s Restaurant. The Georgetown Centre and Georgetown Centre Catering were originally created, as an extension of the Yorkshire Inn Restaurant, to fill the need for a catering facility which had as it’s emphasis fine food and quality service in a beautiful and elegant setting. With it’s grand opening in the fall of 1990, The Georgetown Centre quickly established a reputation as the premier catering facility in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. Today, as the new millennium dawns, The Georgetown Centre is still committed to those same attributes that have made The Yorkshire Inn and Georgetown Centre Catering so successful for the past 30 years. Les George, Jr. and his staff of catering professionals are ready and able to meet all of your catering needs.

This week at KJLC, we are continuing our tradition of celebrating our values with a remarkable blend of team bonding, acts of charity, learning, and fun during our SPIRIT week. Our team participated in a variety of engaging activities including Chair Massages, Trivia Happy Hours, Ping Pong Tournaments, Town Hall Presentations around the globe and recycling drives. These events not only brought our team closer together but also provided a welcome break and a chance to rejuvenate.
A highlight of the week was the opportunity to hear from three of our valued customers. Their presentations offered our team direct insight into how their dedication and our collaborative efforts contribute to Enabling Technology for a Better World. It was a powerful reminder of the impact of our work and the importance of our partnerships.
As KJLC approaches its 70th anniversary in 2024, we are filled with excitement for the future. This milestone is not just a reflection of our past successes but also a beacon for future innovations and achievements. We are more committed than ever to our SPIRIT values of Sustainability, Passion, Integrity, Respectful, Innovation, and Team.
