I'm honored and humbled to be among a great group of Pittsburghers selected by the Pittsburgh Business Times for their 2024 C Suite Awards. And, I'm so very grateful to be able to stand on the shoulders of my parents, Mary Ann and Ed, wife Suzanne, General Manager Rebecca Horvatic Lazeration, our incredible Priory Hospitality Group staff, and so many others who have helped our business and me achieve great success. I'm looking forward to celebrating with the other winners next week.

Here's a cool article discussing the evolution of nearby East Ohio Street into a "restaurant row," with the development of EYV (vegetarian restaurant), S***a (Nepalese and pan Asian) being added to Siempre Algo and others!

A sale orchestrated by the Northside Leadership Conference has begun to transform East Ohio Street, in the North Side, into a restaurant hub. Does it still serve the neighborhood?

Absolutely amazing al fresco wine night in our courtyard last Thursday. Fabulous group of guests, music by Ray Lanich, wonderful service by our Priory team, great wine host in David Escobar Martin, and fabulous food from chefs Mike Henney and Pete Phillipy!

Many don't know that George Ferris, inventor of the Ferris Wheel, was a resident of Allegheny City, now known as Pittsburgh's North Side (and home to our fair establishment). The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership is temporarily installing a massive Ferris Wheel on the Clemente (Sixth Street) Bridge, about three blocks from the Priory, in just a few weeks. It looks like it will be well worth a visit!

A 60-foot Ferris wheel will be erected on the Roberto Clemente Bridge as part of the 11-day Oktoberfest Pittsburgh.

A friend and neighbor shared this photo with us showing Lockhart Street looking East towards the Heinz plant. Looks circa 1930's, and note the onion domes are still capping the bell towers of what's now our Grand Hall. We've never seen this view before.

The big show starts at 5:30 p.m. and runs through 8:00 p.m. This is the second outdoor music performance show at the Priory Hotel this summer. Clinton Clegg, the lead singer of the national touring band, The Commonheart, kicked off the series last month and entertained over 100 guests. No cover. Outdoor cash bar plus Monks' bar and light fare ala carte menu. Bring your friends to 614 Pressley Street, Deutschtown, North Side. You'll enjoy your time here!

We were proud to host the farewell brunch of the quadrennial North American Swiss Singers convention. The concert competition featured singing societies from throughout the United States and Canada, including one group from Vancouver!

Pittsburgh attractions and festivals have scored very well in national rankings, especially the Barrel and Flow beer festival and Heinz History Center. Congrats to our many attractions and festivals!
