FRIDAY, MARCH 10 - DONNYBROOK

Celebrate Pittsburgh's proud Irish boxing heritage - during the Season of St. Patrick - as we present the 4th Donnybrook!

This first-class exhibition of Pittsburgh's top amateur boxers will take on the Drimnagh Boxing Club managed by Michael Carrruth, Ireland's first Olympic Gold Medalist in boxing.

These dedicated young adult athletes will once again battle to gain ownership of the Ambassador's Cup Trophy.

The first Pittsburgh Donnybrook was held in 2014 with Pittsburgh winning the prestigious Ambassador's Cup. In 2015 and 2016, the Drimnagh Boxing Club won!

Donnybrook 2023 will see Drimnagh back in the 'Burgh Pittsburgh taking on the best of local boxers continuing the ties between our great city and Ireland.

Proceeds from the night will be shared by the Ireland Institute of Pittsburgh and Drimnagh Boxing Club spearheaded by iconic Irish boxer Michael Carruth.

Michael was the first boxer from Ireland to win an Olympic Gold Medal (Barcelona ’92), and is one of only four Irish athletes to ever win an Olympic Gold Medal.

Since the Olympics, Michael has volunteered as a coach in
the boxing club founded by his father, legendary Irish boxing coach Austin Carruth.

The famous Pittsburgh St. Patrick's Day Button Party is making its debut at our Grand Hall at the Priory. The custom-designed button changes every year, and acts as the ticket for admission. Hey there Grand Hall friends! Join us later today at 5:30 p.m., at our sister hotel property in Shadyside - Mansions on Fifth - when we host Clinton Clegg - singer-songwriter and lead singer of the national touring act The Commonheart - in an intimate performance in our Oak Room.

Clinton's soulful voice lends itself well to the blues, roots rock n' roll, soul and folk music. This will be Mansons' last Performance Thursday before going dark for a month for a film shoot!

As always, we'll be offering drink specials and complimentary charcuterie. Admission and parking is complimentary as always!
