has been kind enough to let us be part of their show on Jan 17th at by having do some live painting! Rubblebucket’s phenomenal music is not just a show, but also an experience. Or as put it, they are “The indie rock Miami Sound Machine.”

Rubblebucket’s seeds were sown when Kalmia Traver and Alex Toth, the group’s front persons, co-writers and co-producers, first began a friendship as jazz students at the University of Vermont. Soon after, they formed Rubblebucket, using the project to delve into pop, funk, dance and psychedelia; performances have spanned Bonnaroo to Glastonbury to their self-curated Dream Picnic Festival, and they’ve collaborated with kindred genre-blenders including Arcade Fire and Scissor Sisters’ Jake Shears. Their latest full-length LP ‘Year of the Banana’ is perhaps their deepest and grooviest work yet. It speaks to the power of transforming and adapting relationships in a time when the world needs it most.

TONIGHT is the Opening for “Beyond the Body,” which is the culmination of & .trashed artist residency!
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Taylor Raye’s artwork explores the inner landscape, merging dreamlike objects and forms with fragments of the external world. Concrete elements are kaleidoscopically reconfigured, setting the tone for otherworldly exploration. Raye strives to capture what is unseen but deeply felt - much like a disjointed, yet poignant dream. 
Through painting, film-making, and sculpture, Raye traverses new terrains of the inner world. Each medium offers a distinct language for self expression, united by luminous, jewel-like colors, and multilayered forms. 
Raye invites others to step into these whimsical spaces, hoping they ignite curiosity, emotion, or the spark of a forgotten memory.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Elle Free’s work explores the interconnectedness of the body, nature, and architecture, framing them as components of a vast and ever-evolving psychological and collective experience. Her surrealist oil paintings delve into the universality of human emotion, revealing parallels between personal traumas and the shared threads that bind us to each other and the world around us.
Free challenges the notion of isolation, urging us to see our experiences as part of a larger, intricate reflection of life itself. Is the overwhelming insignificance felt beside a towering skyscraper comparable to the eerie vastness of an empty desert? These surreal moments of existence, though seemingly disparate, find clarity when viewed through the eyes of others who illuminate what we cannot see alone.
Through her art, Free offers a fresh perspective on those who navigate the peripheries of contemporary society, crafting a world that feels both familiar and dreamlike, inviting viewers to reimagine their place within it.

This Saturday is a double feature composed of and .trashed dual exhibition “beyond the body.” The show will be accompanied with live music from & Rob LastName from as well as DJ ~
At the same time, will be having an opening inside the called “galactic underworld,” Which features pieces inspired by cosmic energy. These are our last shows of 2024, so don’t sleep on them!
