It's always such a special feeling to be able to create for weddings, for love, and for such a big day. Yesterday I was able to design for one of my closest friend's wedding and it was such an honor. The flowers are a mix of traditional florals, locally grown dahlias (shout out to ) and botanicals foraged at . I am so proud of this bouquet; it is truly a creation of love and intention.

Meet the behind the scenes hands of Foraged Whimsy Floral! I'm so grateful for my husband Justin and son Norman, who support my flower journey every day.

Justin's the master of deliveries, flower harvesting, and tech wizardry! His fave flowers are lilies and ranunculus.

Norman's my little flower enthusiast, cheering me on with his love for red roses and carnivorous plants!

These two are my inspiration and my everything. I couldn't bloom without them. 🥰

We have some new faces around here so I thought I'd do an updated introduction!

Hey! I'm Tay. I live in Pike County, Illinois. I am a floral designer, I love designing for weddings and events.

I'm really passionate about flowers, foraging, sustainability, and keeping things local. I started Foraged Whimsy to bring sustainable, thoughtful, and unique designs to my community.

Quick things about me!

• I went to beauty school to be an Esthetician. I did that professionally for 6 years! I always grew plants and flowers as a hobby; when I found a flower shop willing to train me I hopped on the opportunity!

• Before beauty school, I worked in a factory for years, Wallis Ice in White Hall IL (my hometown!)

• I'm obsessed with Twilight and Supernatural. I would give A LOT to experience watching them for the first time again.

• I am a cat person, my first cat was a beautiful calico named Shy.

• I was an art and band kid in school, I played the flute and loved to draw portraits!

• My favorite holiday used to be Halloween, like, obsessed with horror and all of the things, but now it's actually Valentine's day! I seriously LOVE love. 🥰

• I moved to Pike County Illinois a few years ago with my then boyfriend, now husband! We got married in March of this year.

• I am a mother to a kind and thoughtful 7 year old! We love to hangout and play Minecraft together. We're really excited for the newest update.

In September I'll be celebrating three years of floral design! (Beyond just designing from my garden) I will forever be thankful for my former manager who gave me a chance, I spent so much time trying to get my foot in the door of a flower shop! I'm thankful every day to have the opportunity to do something I love. I am always accepting orders for everyday arrangements, sympathy, events, and weddings. 💖
