Shirts are $10 and should be paid for before pick up (from the studio when they are ready) or by the end of the month. Payment is to be made to The Studio in cash, check or through our website.

It's Monday and that means a new week of learning is upon us at The Studio! This week we finish up choreography for our holiday recital "Christmas in Candyland," we focus on connecting some of the skills learned thus far in acro classes and also will be helping out color some Christmas ornaments for the PHS fall musical "10 Ways to Survive the Holidays," that is THIS weekend Friday and Saturday at 7:30 and Sunday at 2:00. A fun week ahead, we can't wait to see you 🎄

For our holiday recital this season, we will be purchasing T-shirts to perform in through Geared Up as always. To change it up a bit and go with the theme, each COMBO class will have a different color T-shirt. If your student is NOT in a combo class, they will be purchasing the color T-shirt that corresponds with their grade level or class. In order to not cause confusion, all I need from you is your student/students T-shirt size and I will order the correct color for you in that size. Once T-shirts are all ordered and I know the pricing, I will get that to you. For now, you can comment on this post with sizing, let me know at The Studio, or I will reach out to you soon. T-shirt sizing is youth sizes XS-XL and adult sizes XS-4XL. If your little one is smaller than a YXS, we get creative with these. You are allowed to tie them up, cut and tie knots on the side, hem them, whatever you'd like as long as the front design is intact.

A couple reminders and updates.

-We WILL have dance classes on Halloween, October 31st.
-All students are allowed and encouraged to come in costume next week for classes Monday-Thursday October 28th-31st!
-We WILL have classes Monday, November 11th since we had off for Columbus Day, we do not want to miss another Monday class a month before our Winter recital.

Our 7th Annual Holiday Recital "Christmas in Candyland" is set for Saturday, December 14th.
In order to keep this show as it was made to be, a smaller, budget friendly, fun performance to spread holiday cheer and show off what our students have learned so far this season, the amount of performances we showcase will go as follows.

Pre-k combo - 1 jazz routine
Kindergarten combo - 1 jazz routine
1st grade combo - 1 jazz routine
2nd-3rd grade combo - 1 jazz & 1 tap routine (we have students in this combo that only take tap or jazz so want to be sure they are included in the showcase)
4th-5th grade combo - 1 jazz routine
6th-7th grade combo - 1 jazz routine
8th-HS combo - 1 jazz routine
Level 2 tap - 1 tap routine
Level 3 tap - 1 tap routine
Intro to lyrical - 1 lyrical routine
Lyrical/Contemporary - 1 contemporary routine
Intro to hip hop - 1 hip hop routine
Level 2 hip hop - 1 hip hop routine
Level 3 hip hop 1 hip hop routine
Advanced Acro - 1 acro routine
10 solo/duet performances

In total a 26 number show.
With this, we are able to keep the cost at $5 per ticket in advance or $8 at the door.
Information sheets further explaining this and more details on our holiday recital, recital t-shirt purchase and more will be handed out soon.
