It all started when her father gave her that first camera when she was 6, a Kodak 110. Then the boxes of negatives and prints started gathering. A love affair was born. She moved around quite a bit, all over the East coast with her family. This taught her how to look, and find details in life and to adjust to any situation. Graduating university with a degree in Photography and Sculpture she chose

to work with the camera instead of the torch. Not because she didn't love welding, because she didn't want to burn down her house. Fourteen years she worked with some great people over at Kodak in the digital camera division. Using some of the very first DSLR cameras ever built. She traveled to Europe and Asia to teach others, and share her love of photography. Then comes a time when you want to be your own boss. She started her business in 2008 and hasn't looked back. Portraits, weddings, events are the crux of what she captures. This past year she started teaching photography at the local rec center. She has purple hair. . One of my absolute favorites from all of the HCT's that I covered. As the rain started to come down, I hopped into the back of my wrx using the hatch as a rain cover, it barely kept the rain coming in. The rain did not deter this rider, while so many others sought shelter under trees and in the garages of those along the route. The downpour didn't last long that day, and turned out to be another great day for the HCT.

Death greeting riders at the top of Bopple Road alongside bagpipe music. A common sight if you rode the HCT.
The average gradient is 13% up to 23%, challenging even to the experienced rider. Once you reach the top you are greeted to a view of Canandaigua Lake and a flat road to recover, a nice finish to a grueling grind to the top.

Usually I travel this road to go snowboarding, this day was to follow around riders for the HCT.

Spongy moths may be cute but are devastating to our local trees. This was taken in 2021, when there was a large population of them devouring local tree leaves. Walking through the woods, all you heard was the sound of rain, but it wasn't rain. ew.
