NJ Jazz And Steppers Club brings Chicago Step to New Jersey & the tri state area. Chicago style Steppin is a partner dance to soulful grooves, like classic R&B, soul and jazz. Like so many dances Chicago style Steppin, also known as urban ballroom, was born out of the jazz era. It is reminiscent of a time when folks got together dressed up and went out to dance and listen to some good music. The d

ance and the jazz scene were closely related. Overtime there has been a separation of what was a beautiful marriage. It is our mission to promote and grow urban dance and jazz in the Tri State area.

“Hello Party People” just about two weeks left before our Halloween party. We have created a very unique Halloween experience. The party takes place in a 200 year old converted gothic church. The special effects and decorations will add to the night. In addition to some awesome Steppin music, we will have a little House music so everyone can party. There will be a tasty “Free” light buffet and other treats. So come out and have some fun!!!
In a separate room there will be a complimentary 1hr introduction to Steppin Class. See you on the 27th

1st Annual Pre Father’s Day Celebration and fund raiser. The event was hosted by Joan Souels, Gary Garris and Benetta Smith Bines of the NJ Jazz and Steppers Club. A day to be remembered with awesome entertainment, great food and wonderful attendees. Many thanks to all those that attended or donated to a worthy cause.
