Meet the judge of the 2024 WRAP-Teen High School Art Show: Steve Yunck

Steve Yunck has spent over a decade inspiring creative growth in students across various disciplines. He holds an MA and MFA in Art from UW-Madison and a BFA in Graphic Design from UW-Stevens Point.

At UW-Platteville, he led classes in Media Studies and Industrial Studies. These courses covered video, photography, studio lighting, power systems, and safety. He is currently a Professor in the art program teaching photography, graphic design, and foundational 2D design concepts.

Beyond the classroom, Steve's research integrates art and science. He focuses on media production for STEM education and outreach. His writing explores how the humanities enhance understanding of scientific concepts. Through his interdisciplinary approach, Steve inspires students to push creative boundaries and develop their unique voices.

Who has Steve selected to win Southwest Wisconsin's regional State Awards? Find out at the reception of the WRAP-Teen High School Art Show this evening from 5-6 p.m.
